I'm in Ft. Lauderdale and trying to figure out what this person (female) finds in calling people and asking for a pin # or just hanging up.Maybe it is a new way of getting her rocks off. BORING, she needs to find a new way to get off!

Just got a call from this # and didn't recognize and sent to voice mail.  Turned out to be a friend of mine in Trinidad & Tobago Island using a calling card.  Not sure how that works.

Caller asked for me by first initial and last name. When I inquired as to what the call was about, he claimed it was a service call for a problem reported with Windows program on my computer. I stated that I had not reported a problem and the caller hung up.

The caller's name is Dr. Edward Johnson. After a series of his e-mails to me, claiming I am to receive US$1,468,597.84 from the estate of late Michael P. Anderson of IFCA Resource Ghana Ltd. The funds were placed into a specific account, in my name, at: Standard Charter Bank, Ring Road Branch Accra, Ghana. The account number and SWIFT code were supplied in my e-mail which also included two(2) pages from the late Michael P. Anderson's will.
He stated that I need to activate the account with US$500 (via Western Union money transfer or MoneyGram) up front... in order to enable me to transfer these funds to any bank of my choice in the world. I had the impression that Dr. Edward Johnson was in Ghana until his phone number came up on my caller ID as a local Ft. Lauderdale, FL phone number.
In conclusion, I am thinking that this situation is a scam.

In the same vein, I've received a three e-mails from the same Dr. Edward Johnson claiming that I have been a beneficiary of a large sum of money from the same Michael P. Anderson, and I am to contact a Standard Chartered Bank to make claims. I know too well about these internet thieves, so just ignore him!

Please, please and please. Dr. Edward Johnson is a banker in Standard Chartered Bank and he is not a fraudster. He is a real gentleman that has been in business for many years over there in Ghana.
