Called left no message. Tried to call back number not in service.

My elderly Mother answered this phone call today, CID said "Virginia" 757-027-6771. Apparently a cell phone with a spoofed CID. A man was on the line and asked for my Mother by name, claimed to be with the Disabled American Veterans and asked for a donation of $5. Which she refused, Thank God! This appears to be another scammer trying to get over on the elderly or anyone else who will fall for their tactics. Just added them to my blocked number list.

We have an unlisted number and are on the Do Not Call registry.  The caller asked for my husband by name and when I asked if I could tell him who was calling they hung up.

Answered phone with VERY loud greeting, after rapidly repeating for 4th time caller hung up. I called the number only to get recorded message that the number is no longer in service.  Obviously a scam!
BTW  on the state and federal Do Not Call Registry.  Help,  these crooks are calling about 18-20 hrs a day, 7 days a week. Block them and they use a different #.
