Just received a call from a man who said he was asking for donations for the police accociation. I thought he was rude when I told him I do not donate over the phone.

Police Dept DON'T call for donations PERIOD. They might send out mailings locally but not over the phone

I got a call from a guy and he asked for me by name. I asked who was calling and he quickly gave a name and said he was calling for the police benevolent association. I told him the person he was asking for was not at home and could I take a message - he quickly and rudely hung up. Not doubt a scam.

just got a call. They asked for my husband by name. Called o  cell phone and house phone. When I told her he was  not available and asked what the call was about, she said it was a courtesy call and hung up on me.

I just received a call from this number. A gentleman knew my last name, and told me he was calling from the Police Benevolent Association. I told him I am on the nationwide no call list, and he was welcome to send information in the mail. He did not answer me. I kept repeating, "hello". No answer. He rudely remained on the line for an extended period of time not saying anything. A scam for sure!
