don't know who this is.  wanted to speak to my husband.  said it was about taxes.  we don't don't owe any taxes.  very rude.  just hung up on her and blocked her number.

lisa kline also called me and was very, very ignorant and rude she hung up on my grandmother and tried to yell and scream at me like i was a child but today was not a good day for me i called her back until i got to say everything i wanted to say and she was scared to pick up her phone and had some guy do so he got an earfull too this cow neede to be put in her place.

April Miller called and insisted my husbad lived with someone who apparently they were tryig to contact. Very unprofessional. When asked what this company was, only stuttering and babble was the response.

Who is this bull dyke?  She left several disturbing voice messages with a my relatives saying this was an 'urgent tax matter' that needed to be resolved.  Taxes?  Hell, the government just gave me a check, now they want to take it back?  Why not send a letter, rather than have some unhappy lesbian call and harrass me?  (no offense to all the happy lesbians out there)

I was also one of the unfortunate to be contacted by "ECA."  I've gone so far as to have my phone number changed and have a password on my wireless account so they will stop harassing me.  Do these people really think we're stupid enough to pay them money, oh, I mean, taxes.  I've never once received a letter from the IRS or ECA.  Besides that, ECA isn't allowed to mention any government agencies if they are a so-called tax-collector.

Didn't call number but she left a message stating that I or my tax attorney should contact her (Nicole James from ECA) immediately. She didn't know my correct name so she resulted to using my first name. I gathered from the area code the call came from Norfolk, VA.

I received a v/m from Richard Adams with E C A on my cell stating that my ex (he asked for him by name)or his tax representative or registered tax attorney needed to call back today that it was urgent. The guy left a case file number and also that my ex could call him directly at a 800 number. (800)449.8085
First of all I don't know how he had my cell phone number because I've been divorced for 11 years. I didn't have this number nor did I live in my current home while I was married, so I have no idea had they got it.
I called the number to see what type of business this was and Lisa Kline answered. I asked for Richard Adams then she asked if he had left a message for me to call back and if I had case file number. I was trying to ask her why/how they had my cell number and asked what company this was and she stated E C A so I asked what do you do. Her reply again was this is E C A. Then I said I realize that but what do you do. She stated it's a process company. I asked if it was a collection company. She said no and became very rude. She kept asking for a case number stating she can't help me if I won't give her a case number. So I said again I can't give you any information if I don't know who you are. She goes, we're E C A.  I tell her that doesn't tell me anything. Again she she says, she can't help me if I don't give her the case number. I said you can't help me anyway because you're asking for my ex. She was very rude from the beginning and it wasn't pretty at the end! She finally said, have a nice day ma'am and hung up. Who are these people?

This company calling themselves ECA (Lisa) contacted an old friend, that we do not associate with anymore, and told them to tell my husband to call this number 1-800-499-8085.  Lisa was very rude to her and told her that my mother in law was crazy and didn't know anything about her son and his life.  She then proceeded to tell our friend that my husband must call this number immediately regarding a tax filing fraud.  Our friend told her that she doesn't even associate with us anymore and why are you calling her?  Lisa told her that she found her (our friend's) name on our website (www.bellracing.ws).  Our friend called me and told me what this lady said and gave me the number to call.  

I immediately called this number.  A man answered by the name of ECA.  I asked to speak to Lisa and he asked who was speaking.  I told him my name and Lisa answered.  I proceeded to tell her that she just called someone that we haven't spoke to in a while and I wanted to know what she needed.  Lisa told me that she needed to speak to my husband and I said I am his wife and if this is regarding anything to do with taxes, we filed married jointly and she could discuss this with me. Lisa stated that she is going to let their lawyers handle the situation and that she would have to speak to my husband directly and I must have him call.  Then she hung up on me.  

I later found out that these people have contacted my mother in law at home and on her cell phone and tried to contact my father in law at his business.  These people are very rude, abusive and are threatening to anyone they speak to.  They are also posing as the IRS in regards to a tax filing fraud.  

Lisa has cussed out my mother in law and my friend.  She also told my mother in law that she was crazy and stupid for not knowing anything about her son.  She only said this because my mother in law refused to give out any more information, although somehow she has obtained his cell phone number and is repeatedly calling it.  

I don't appreciate these people calling and bothering my friends and family and random people that they find on my racing website.  

She refused to give out any information regarding any past due or collective accounts.  I have no idea what she is calling for.  I have noticed that they are supposedly no longer in business and that they have a large judgment against them.

i just got a call from them at work and lisa kline was very rude she said that i was to be served and that i will go to jail everyone needs to report this to ftc.gov so it can come to a stop

Just another telephone scam..I do not know how they got my number but the
person they left the message for hasn't had this number for 4 years.
Same as the other post posing as working on a tax issue. I thought there
were laws against this sort of thing.

We also got a call from Lisa Kline - same rude behavior as in other posts.
She called from 800-499-8085, though.  Does anyone know any more about this company?
She was calling for my husbands ex-wife, but she also managed to get our home number, my husbands work number, AND my husbands parents!  
Is there any stopping her?

I have directed my legal counsel to conduct a full business license review of "ECA"  and its representatives Lisa Kline and April Miller.   Their error in contacting me about fictious pending legal or tax issues and inferred representation provides sufficient cause for me to take further action.

ECA - Ellis Crosby and Associates  - one in the same?    

Looks as though several states had/have documented complaints/actions against this company (Florida, Illinois, Wisonsin, Kansas....) may be best for each of you to contact your local States Attorney Generals office with call records, voice messages and recorded phone conversations.

The Attorney General’s lawsuit, filed in June August 2005, alleged that Crosby and his company used deceptive practices in an attempt to scare, harass and intimidate debtors into paying amounts far in excess of their debts.

Testimony from victims and witnesses revealed that Crosby and company used tactics such as posing as law enforcement officers, threatening seizure of property, and even threatening bodily harm. More than 380 victims filed complaints with the Attorney General’s office.

Duval Circuit Court Judge L. Haldane Taylor ordered Crosby and his company to pay $388,000 in consumer restitution, $700,000 in fines for violating the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Business Practices Act, and $253,000 in fees and costs, totaling more than $1.3 million.

The Judge also entered a permanent injunction which prohibits Crosby and his company from engaging in any activity within the State of Florida which is related in any way to the ownership, processing, administration or collection of consumer debts.

I got a message on my answering machine from someone named Richard Adams calling from ECA. Stated he needed to talk to me or my tax attorney today! First he had my name wrong and my husband and I have been getting refunds from the IRS for 5 years! Who is this guy and how can I stop his calls?

My mother in law received a call from this number.  I have no clue how he got it, we have never lived with her.  Anyways he told her it was regarding taxes owed.  We do not owe taxes.  Be careful.

I just spoke with someone by the name of Richard.  He stated that this call had to do with an old credit card (that was a charge off) that was going to go to the IRS as income and I would be penalized.  He told me that I needed to secure this by giving him my credit or debit card and that is when I said no and hung up.
