This has shown up on my caller ID several times but has not left a message.
I will not answer a ring that I do not reconize.

I get calls from this number as well. Weird that it shows up as a "local call" on the caller ID. I live in Indiana.

This is not a charity organization. To further muddy the waters, shills often comment to allay suspicions, as if they themselves were call recipients.

I got a call from this number, too... does anyone know who/what it is?

my husband called the number back and its a fund raiser thing....its really annoying no one would come online to talk to him but it was a prerecording thats how we knew it was a fund raiser

Telemarketer calling on behalf of the Fraternal Order of Police.  Deceptive "Local Call" Caller ID along with an annoying message to please hold for someone to speak to you.  Should you be foolish enough to give them money most would go to the telemarketer.  People hear the word "Police" and think this would be a good cause...please don't encourage these people.

I have had several calls from this number, too, and I did answer once, and they identified themselves as Fraternal Order of Police. I used to know a guy who worked in this kind of scam.  They had one big room full of little desks like school desks, with phones, and everybody manned the phones, trying to get donations.  This guy was a supervisor of this group, and he said that 3 percent actually went to the organization.  The rest went to the telemarketers.  These people identified themselves as having to do with the local fire department.  There was nobody in that room with the fire department.  Total scam.

I got a call from this number as well today at 9:53am. I am looking for a new job, so anytime a 757 area code number comes up on caller ID I am answering it. Luckily when I got to it, my machine picked up. I kept saying HELLO and they never picked up. I will know now what it is and not to answer it.

Called three times today and at least 5-10 times per week.

Calls 5 days a week, sometimes as late as 10:00pm.

Called came in on a Saturday evening from 757-333-0911.  Caller ID said Local Call.  Didn't answer it and they did not leave a message.

called on my business line. I answered, after a short delay a man came on the phone and asked for Priscilla. I told him he had the wrong #,he wished me a good day and hung up. There was a lot of chatter in the background.

Has called several times and left no message.  This morning, I answered.  It was a man saying he was from the Fraternal Order of Police, reminding me and my family to buckle up.  I told him we had no money for him.  He thanked me for my time, and we hung up.

I have been getting calls from this number several times a day for over a month now.  When I pickup the call and say hello no one answers.  And no one is leaving a message.

Keep getting calls from 757-333-0911 and Caller ID says Local Call. Usually someone hangs up. I called them back and left them a message to call back. When they called back, I explained what keeps happening and asked them to stop please stop calling. They rudely said okay and hung up on me and keep calling.  
How do we stop this?
