Called this morning around 8:30 asking for a person that they assume I know. I think they are trying to establish whether I am the right person they are looking for or not. Tried to call the number back and got a busy signal the first time. Second attempt in trying to call them back resulted in the usual "three tone..your call could not be completed as dialed" answer.
You must have dialed our number wrong. We are Accelerated Financial Solutions. We are a debt purchasing firm and if you have a debt that is within the statue of limitations in your state you could possibly be in the process of being sued. Our website is AcceleratedFinancial.net, Look into it.
They ususally leave a name and an account number of the person they are trying to reach. It might be a collection agency or regarding a lawsuit. I called the number back and spoke to a representative there.

Why do they keep calling bogus phone numbers asking that you return their long distance phone call. Dorthy Powell at 757-484-1123 wants us to call her back about someone we have never heard of.
Called and asked to speak to someone ive never heard of and then gave me the fifth degree, said, "well this person called from your number!" and i said, no this is my personal cell phone, ive had this number for four years and no one with the name you're looking for has ever used my phone!
Lady with a southerny accent left message on my voicemail. Had my first & last name. No company name. Calling about Lionel Montes and saying there is a important matter being currently processed and that she needs to get a hold of him a soon as possible. Could I get him to call her & left a reference number for his file/case.
Well sorry I sort of blew it. They called me again, but because it was early in the morning I sort of let my emotions get the best of me. The number showed up and I answered in a very feisty tone:
Me: "Hello?"
Her: "Oh hi, is this ______(my name)?"
Me: "I don't know the person you are calling about and I think you KNOW I don't know the person you are calling about."
She gets huffy: "Well you could have called me back!"
I retort: "I'm sorry but you didn't ask for me to call you back. Your message said to tell someone I don't know to call you back. So-"
She gasps. "Uh!" And totally hangs up on me.
It was really funny, but I then realized it would have been much more helpful if I had prodded her for information. Sorry guys! Maybe someone else can do it. Careful. This person who thinks you should be giving them information despite the fact that they have not identified themselves in the least, is very sensitive.
