Hung up - repeatedly calls throughout the day and evening...

number has shown up on caller ID numerous times along with another one from the same area code. Unknown name. Turned off my answering machine looong ago to discourage these pain in the [***] callers. But they still ring my number.Why do I even have a land line, anyway????

No message left on machine.  Caller ID listed number but instead of name or company said "local call".

When I called this number back, the answering machine greeting was, "Thank you for calling The Fundraising Information Center."

A million other places, and the Fraternal Odor of Police here in VA.  I found out this morning when one called while I was blissfully dozing.  MPI is known in AZ to hire felons and under 18's for its call center.  This is likely the source of their high-quality brand of customer service.  They generally pay between $7-$9/hr. and you can apply in person!

A few years back, I had one tell me that if I didn't donate, he would send the cops around.  I cackled, and hung up.  When I saw they had recently said that to someone else, I figure this information should come to light.  Call them, let them know what you think of these practices, and the practice of "diverting" money destined for charities into their own pockets.

Calls Constantly.  As early as 8am on a saturday.  Have never answered it.

They will not stop calling or leave a message.

Calls 2 or 3 times or more per day; hangs up on machine; finally answered and it sounded like a soliciter so I interrupted him and asked to be removed from their call list. He said "Yes Sir", then I hung up. Just thought I'd report it here for good measure.

Calls several times a day, 7 days per week.
Have never answered and don't intend to.

Called several times on Sat, 5/10/08.  Never picked up and left no message.  Call back was listed as THE FUND RAISING INFORMATION CENTER.  No way to remove name from list as you do no know which "charity" in their group is calling ande pestering you.  Should be able to sue for harassment on these types of calls to get the message across.

Says "Local Call" which isn't local considering that 757 appears to be of the Hampton Roads affiliation.  They've called 2-3 times now.

It's AM Vet's asking for donations for Veterans.

1-757-512-5888 is not the number I recognized, and the person never said anything and hung up after I said "hello". I don't know if it's a crank call or it is someone trying to play a prank on us to get our money. I don't know what it is, but I had been getting alot of these calls doing the same thing. Only the number above is just one of them.

SOOOO GD sick and tired of this yearly BS when I continue to have my name removed from calling lists only to have it show up again on the next line of calling. 757-512-5888 here was Virginia Fraternal Order of Police .... AGAIN. I am SICK TO DEATH of these facking phone calls!!! I have written to the Va Commonwealth's Attorney's office to report them. Looks like I will do it again. I also report them to the Do Not Call Registry regardless of their "charitable" organization status. They blatantly disreguard my REPEATED requests to STOP calling!

Iam sooooooo tired of the Va. fraternal order of police calling me weekly. i have asked them not to call again and take me off the calling list.

I feel for you. Iam always getting calls from the police wanting me to donate to their fraternity. I tell them to stop calling and I have also told them they have the wrong number. They always ask for me by name as if they no me. I also get calls constantly from757-512-5888 PLEASE, all charity calls and telemarketing, STOP CALLING...

Iam now getting calls from 757-644-4142. It also shows up as a local call. Like everyone ealse I made the mistake contributing in the past. I will NEVER contribute to anyone solisiting on the phone again. Now when I get a call I do not recognize, I pick the receiver up and put it down. Then I pull the number up on internet. When they call again, just pick the receiver up or pick it up and lay it down and let them talk to the air.HA HA  DO NOT ANSWER 757-644-4142

These guys call our house about 3 times a day, almost every day. I'm looking into blocking the number as we speak.
