Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number. For tracfone & straight talk:

- LinGot a call from this number today. Very heavy accent, hard to understand. Said his name was "Officer Jason Miller", said I had commited fraud and asked if I had an attorney. He didn't even have my name correct and when I asked who he was, he never answered. Total scam! Blocking this number, but saving the info just in case.
- JohnI received the voice mail on my cell phone from 757-695-5779. This area code is from Virginia Beach, VA and I live in California. The voice mail had guy with a very thick (maybe Chinese) accent said his name was "Jason Miller." I called back during non-business hours and the call didn't go through, not even a voice mail box, just a busy signal. Yes, he said he was an "agent" and that he would require mine or my attorneys immediate return phone call, or else bad things would happen. Whatever. . . I think it is a scam.
- Call type: Debt collector
- MiguelVery same thing happened to me back in June. Months later after going thru my voicemail, I came across this message from a "officer jason miller" with an awful accent telling me that me or my attorney needed to call back "the very second I receive this message". I had to play this message over and over because I didn't understand most of what he or she was saying. After reading this thread, I'm glad to see that I was not the only person that received this type of call. Now I know it's scam.
