I have been getting multiple calls from this number while at work, can't answer and they don't leave messages

They call 2 or 3 times a day and hang up whenever we answer.

all incidents from this number appear fairly recent.  I work out of the home and have been getting calls from this number several times through out the day. It is very annoying, especially when I am working on something. Same issue as everyone else, answer and no response then a hang-up. These are called abandonment calls..and are not permitted by law.  got fed up with them since we are on the do-not-call list AND we have an unlisted number. so I had it this afternoon and reported them through national do-not-call website and also with the FCC.. lets see how many more calls I get now..I suggest everyone do the same...

In the past few days I have been getting several calls from this number.  When I answer, they hang up.  The Caller ID identifies it as UNKNOWN.... except for one time in which the identity was JIMMY KNAPP.  The last time it called, I picked up the phone but  I did not speak.  Then, a female voice said, "Hello  ??".  I said "Hello",  and she hung up.  According to a reverse phone lookup, the number is a land line in Williamsburg, VA.

I also have been getting numerous calls from 757-941-4955, in which there is no responce.  This is more than annoying harrassment....and who ever is responsible not only needs to be stopped fined and prosecuted.  There are a plethora of laws out there that the government does not enforce, and they likely could find one or two that applys to the responsible party generating these calls.

I've been receiving these calls the last couple weeks--several from this number, some from another.  Sometimes there's no sound--just an open line--for as long as I hold on.  Sometimes there's the sound of people in the background--like a call center.  When I called this number back using a different phone, I got a recorded message saying there was no one available to assist me at this time.  If I wanted my number removed from this call list I needed to leave my name and phone number.  Dream on!  I told them I'd report them to the Do Not Call List and to their telephone carrier.

I've had the same luck as everyone else.  I haven't answered any calls from this # because I didn't recognize the #.  When I called back from a different #, a lady says "all of our customer service representatives are assisting other customers.  To be removed from the calling list, please leave your name and number."  I've been getting 4 or 5 calls a day from this #.  I'm also on the Federal do-not-call list.  What's going on?  Someone with more time than common sense.

Same idea as everyone seems to get, but our call is at noon pretty much everyday.  I am in Washington State.  Not even a hang up, just no one there.  Big fun.

Yes I too have been getting these hang-up calls and when I tried to return one they want your name and number so a sales rep can call you back.  Right...  This is just a way to get around the law.  The local phone company advised me to call the police and file a complaint saying they can not block calls.  What can they do, nothing.  Maybe it's time to give up the land line.

Someone posted on another blog that they think RCI sold them a phone list, does this hit home with anyone else.

I was used by a very good friends' son, as a reference (not a co-signer) for a college loan application.  He, the son, has since defaulted on the loan and now they're calling anyone they can to gain contact with the student.  Obviously he has decided to NOT pay the loan back.  Hope they pursue him relentlessly.  Can't say as I blame the company however at least a conversation could take place to clarify.

Could be.  We've been getting these calls almost daily after canceling our RCI membership.

Calls numerous times, never a voice, just hangs up

Just received another call. Didn't answer. No voicemail.
Doesn't seem to matter, tine of day, number of times, answer or not...
What is up with these people?

Are they stalking times I am not home?
