Have received several calls from this number, they never leave a message and just hang up.  Called it back today to see what was up, it was a company called Portfolio (a debt collections agency) looking for some gentleman I'd never heard of.  HTH.

I have received one phone call a day from 1-757-961-3548 for the past month and 1/2. They stay on just long enough to activate the recorder and then hang-up. Very annoying!

They insisted I give them my SSN info.  

I insisted I will not and for them to give it to me for verification.  They said they will not remove me from the list until I give them my SSN info.  We got into an argument and she was rude to me.  She finally gave me the last 4 numbers of the SSN.  It was wrong.

I've gotten calls from 757-961-3548 AND 757-961-3547 for the last 3 weeks. Same thing where they never leave a message and always hang up whenever I answer. Since they like to go up one digit week to week, I decided to call the following number: 757-961-3549. This number connected me with a debt collector called "Portfolio Recovery Associates" www.portfoliorecovery.com and I consulted with a CSR. She did not deny that the above numbers came from them. I've stated they are harassing me and she immediately removed my number from their database. We'll see what happens tomorrow.

These are sleezes that try to collect accounts that are well past the date they can be legally collected... they called me about an account that was taken care of in 1992! (It is May, 2009 now...). Don't discuss anything with these people, hang up. This is NOT a legit collection agency.

These stupid peeps keep calling any hour day or nite and never leave a message and like above when calling back either I get a machine or some smartie pants. I have no idea why they r calling.

Just got a call again from them. I don't answer anymore. The one time I did answer, I verified my name, refused to give them my SSN and asked them to please send me in writing verificiation of any debt they are trying to collect. The man got very nasty with me, said "you're just one of those people who don't pay any of your debts" and hung up on me. They have been calling me about 2-3 times a week since then, but I won't answer.

This number's been calling for a couple of weeks.  Will not leave a message on voice mail.  Returned the call, it goes to the collection agency as everyone else has stated.  Really annoying.  Leave a message or send it in writing, if you have the number you probably have the address.

They call, leave no name, call anytime and day of the week. Calling for a debt that in no longer a valid debt.  No use talking to them, they don't hear a word you say anyway. When I see this number on caller id , I just hang up or unplug my phone.  I guess it takes a certain kind of person to work for a company like Portfolio Recovery.

I get a lot of calls for donations but only use the number they called for outgoing calls.  Anybody I want to hear from gets my cell number.  People calling on the other line get 4 rings and a notice that the voice mailbox is full.  It must improve their mood to waste their time.  These people should not be calling on a Sunday anyway.

I'm tired of this number calling me as well. Don't they understand if no one ever answers the phone its time to move on! Especially when they don't leave a message or anything. It's incredibly annoying for them to call several times a day! I swear I don't know how they got my number, but I think every telemarketer, etc has it!

They have called everyday for about two weeks at around 4:45 PM. I have put my phone on vibrate only. I know it is no one I know, because I only gave my cell number to my husband. Most people do not know I even have a cell phone. It is still irritating.

I got the same call as well today; no name was requested by the automated recording of course.  I did call back and talk with one of their representatives and found out that like a few of the other who have responded that they were looking for someone else... however they were actually polite to me and "removed" my number from the call list – I will need to wait to see if that’s true or not.

Agreed! They are very annoying and are trying to collect on a debt I  DON'T OWE! I'm about to call them only to get their information for a cease and decist letter.
