Credit card help. I hung up and dialed *69, (last number called), and the voice said "your number has been removed"

This is an invalid phone number. I tried calling it back (as suggested below) and it will NOT go through!

I spoke with 6 different operaters and basically, I was told it is not a valid # as well--or better yet that it was not a # that could recieve incoming calls.

After several tracing attempts, was told it is not a # that recieves incoming calls (i.e. cell or track phone, computer, or fax as some examples suggested)

The number that is calling you, 757-990-8981, will show up as an unknown number because it technically does not exist in the system. The number is owned by WASHINGTON/BALTIMORE CELLULAR LIMITED PARTNERSHIP which is an affiliate of US Cellular. The number only exsists in thier switch and is used to make test calls to comply with FCC regulations.

Said they were working with my credit card company to lower my rate. When i asked them if they were authrorized by my credit card company they hung up on me.

Automated call telling me the same thing as the previous post. Hung up, tried to call the number, but got the message that it's not a recognized number.

Have receive calls before. Starts with computer telling me to press 1 if I want to lower my credit card interest rate (with no card company named!).  Pressing 1 got me disconnected a couple of times but finally today it went through to the same voice that the computer used to persuade me to press the number 1.  The spiel about lowering my interest rate on my credit card began .  However I barged in and asked "Which card are you calling about?"  To which the reply was a vague "Well do you owe more than $5,000 on all of your cards?"  "Yes" I said.  "What is your interest rate?"  "For which card?"  Which resulted in her hanging up.  Seems pretty fishy to me.  Called the number and got, "The number you have dialed is invalid.  Please check your listing and try again."

Came through on the TV as Out Of State...just didn't answer it. They can stick it where the sun doesn't shine...their problem, their dime...screw them...

They are spoofing the number and phishing for personal info.  They keep calling.  I don't have a credit card.

Call from "out of state". No message.

Just called my cell phone.  I did not pick up because I did not know the area code.  Did not leave a message.

i called back, they said "Press 1 if this is the numbe ryou wish to have removed. To enter another number, press 2 now" and if you dont press anything, it just keeps repeating

Smae thing happened to me an indian speaking automated voice which is hard for me to understand said the same thing. press 1 to be removed.

This time it was from Satellite TV with a free DVR - and they would NOT take my phone off the list when I asked them to.

No answer when picked up.

Sales Dept,  1-757-990-8981 also 1-702-520-1214. Dish Network. They call 2-3 times a day. After listening to the message and pressing one I reach a caller. When I ask them to stop calling they hang up every time. This is harassment!

Everyone listen up!  Next time they call, except there offer and schedule an appointment, and when they show up tell them to stop calling and tell him to leave. These annoying sob's need to pay for there harassing calls!

I have hung up on them 2 times in 10 minutes. They were trying to sell me a re finance on my house.

Shows up now as "Call Center, VA".  As per their usual actions, I'll get a call from this number on my fax machine in about 5 min.
