This boiler-room call center tries to sell 'special' lamps at extremely high prices. You can tell them you don't want them and they send them anyway. We get a few calls a year from these jokers.

How do you deal with them when they send you the bulbs and you want to return them and not pay for them. Yes, they got me. Told them I wasn't ordering anything and a few weeks later there they were.

They call and say there sending our regular order of flourescent bulbs and there sending a 100 dollar gift card. Way over priced and seems like impossible to return or obtain credit...oh and if you do return the item its a 25% restocking fee.

Received a 30lb. box of bulbs from a "company" called Lighting Products Company in Barstow, CA.  I googled this phone # which on the box they say you have to call collect and found out this is a scam.  DO NOT accept free bulbs or a gift card if someone calls about reordering bulbs.  Refuse the shipment and send back. Also, if/when an invoice comes, shred it and do not pay.  This is how they make their money, which is illegal!

THEY GOT ME ALSO BUT SAID THEY WERE FROM SLI LIGHTING WHICH IS A REAL COMPANY.TRYING TO INVOICE ME FOR $600.00 FOR A BOX OF 4' BULBS THAT COST $30.00. AND THEY ARE ALSO CHARGING FREIGHT.

Reporting the scam to the better business bureau 1 800 356 1007 they sent me
a case of free bulbs then sent a bill for 600.00 and never did see the 100.00 gift certificate.

DO NOT ACCEPT ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!! THEY DONT EVE ANSWER ANY QUESTONS ON THEIR PHONE/FAX/ OR EMAIL. THEY ARE A TOTAL MESS. THEY CANT CALL THEMSELVES A BUSINESS. EVERYTHING YOUR READINMG ABOUT THEM IS TRUE.I DONT KNOW WHO THEY TARGET, BUT I SURE SENT THOSE OVERPRICED BULBS BACK. AND IF THEY REFUSE IT, I WIL KEEP THEM. THEY NEED TO STOP DOING BUSINESS IF THEY CANT HANLE THE TRUTH.

I received a call from them saying someone from our company ordered light bulbs and would like to send a free gift card.
Ask to used my name on the envelope.So I said yes.
A week later I recieved a 30lb Light bulb.I refused the box because I saw all these comments online.
Thank god for these comments!!
I hope this is over with.

Our company received a "1/2" case of light bulbs, receiving didn't check our P.O. orders and sent to our dept.  We are having the same problem as all of you.  I did find a general number for them (different than on the invoice) of 760-253-2901.  We will try tomorrow and refer them to our legal dept., along with a copy of this website.  Thanks for the confirmation that these trolls are scammers.

same here.. they claimed to have done bus. with our company before and as a token of appreciation, sent us bulbs and charged us 600$ for 'em.  When i did get someone on the line they tried to say we agreed to pay for them.. told them i would report them to BBB and asked them to produce a copy of the taped phone conversation, they told me they would have to call back, and never did..Definately do NOT pay these folks..

DO NOT PAY THESE PEOPLE - SCAM
We received a shipment of fluorescent light bulbs which we had not ordered and the company insisted that we had ordered them.  The company ("lighting products company") were billing us and trying to get us to pay 25% of the total invoice as a processing fee if we returned the bulbs.

Finally, only after I said we’d keep the bulbs if they did not want to have them picked up but we where NOT paying the invoice because we NEVER order bulbs (it’s handled by Building Management) and I was sure we had not ordered these so they agreed to pick them up.

Our secretary was offered the same "gift certificate" deal and she refused.  Sure enough a box of lamps shows up.  Obviously she never orders this material and I WILL NOT be paying a dime for these.  I've tried to call 3 times since receiving them 10min ago and there is no answer.  How can they get away with this?

All of the above is true.  It happened to me to.  Someone called from Lighting Products Co. saying our bulbs are ready to be shipped and are on their way.  I ordered halogen bulbs from Overstock.com around that time and so I thought they were shipping the bulbs for Overstock.  Now I have a heavy box of florescent lights that I do not know what I am going to do with.  After reading about the $100 gift certificate, I remembered the call from them letting me know they were sending a $100 Walmart gift card with the shipment.  There was no gift card.  

How do these people stay in business.  I am definitely writing to the Better Business Bureau.

My company and myself have fallen victim to this scam also. I totally agree with all the reports you all have shared and thankful that I am not the only one. I have been calling 7602534252 and 7608270600 day in and day out. I keep calling and it goes to some CSR voicemail that says their hours are Mondays from 10AM-3PM EST and Tuesday -Friday from 8AM to 1PM EST. Funny that nobody NEVER picks up.  When I received the call I immediately knew that our company didn't order any bulbs nor had been in business with them before since we have our own building maintenance. I never gave word for them to go ahead and send the bulbs. They also promised the $100 gift card to Walmart which didn't come in the box. Has anyone successfully returned their bulbs to the company? Thankfully I work in a call center environment so phone calls are taped. Just as soon as I get through to a live being I will be playing the call back for them to hear.  If anybody has any related help or assistance feel free to email me at mysta_Sigma@hotmail.com.  You can't even find these jokers online. They don't have a website.
