got a call but no message, i didn't pick up, it was a block number

Called back and a girl answered and said "goodmorning NCV." so whatever company is ncv i believe its a credit company.

Called my cell phone three days ago and didn't leave any voice mail.  Probably another telemarketer failing to obey the law.

I am constantly getting calls on my cell phone asking for someone else. A recording is stating that its a legal matter for this person.  I have called them and told them they have the wrong number, they tell me that they are taking my # off the list.  15 mins later, I get another call!  Now its at least 8 times per week!  There is only 7 days in a week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!OMG!!! PLEASE STOP!!!

This number calls everyday!! Twice a day for someone else!! Claiming its a legal matter on the answering machine because I don't answer!! Why aren't we protected from such harassment!!!!!! I WISH THEY JUST STOP!!!

OK.... I have been getting calls, a minimum of 2X a month for over a year now.  I have asked repeatedly for them to remove my number from whoever   "Freddy Pinera" is regarding some 'legal matter'.  I am a 65 year old french woman, and have had this phone for 5 years.  Today was the 8th time I told them that I'm not   Freddy.  This woman who of course didn't identify herself or her business says she matched Freddy's Date of birth and phone number with mine.  I asked what Freddy's date of birth was to illustrate that not only am I not Freddy, but to verify my point.  The woman rudely cursed then said we won't call.  When I asked her what number she wouldn't call, she hung up.  So I called back, got some guy who insisted that I wouldn"t be called again and also hung up.  THIS HAS TURNED INTO MAJOR HARASSMENT.....  

It's the same idiots that are calling me, asking for some guy regarding 'legal issue'.  They do not remove your number, despite saying they will.  Got 4 calls in 2 days from them so I filled out an FCC complaint call (form  1088G) on their website.  I asked them to remove my number (again) but then they called looking for some guy named Freddy, again.  Go to the FCC website and file a federal do not call complaint.  I'll put one in every time they call now.  The forms asks for 'contact times and numbers'.  There were only 4 incident spaces, all of which are attributed to these boneheads....

Said they were calling for a James Potts with an important legal matter. I pressed 1 to talk with someone to tell them that they have the wrong number for this guy. No one ever picked up to answer.

Called 3x within 1 hour - no message.  Love the "block" feature on my phone!

I woke up today, to 12 missed calls from this #.
The calls wete over a 3minute period! Never a message. I have filed a complaint with the fcc, again.

Three times in the past month, prerecorded calls have been made to my home phone from a
number that Caller ID identifies only as "El Centro CA/760-259-2803". The calls state that they are for a
named person who is neither me nor anyone residing at my address. On at least one of the
three occasions, the prerecorded message revealed--in violation of 15 U.S.C. section
1692c--that it was an attempt to collect a debt from that named person and stated that it
concerned a "pre-legal matter". While an 866 number (866-935-2205) was provided and the message
revealed that it was from a debt collector, the name of the debt collector was NOT provided. I filed a complaint with the CFPB.

You are correct, they are debt collectors.

Received automated call from 7602592803 on my cell phone.  Recording said "This is a legal matter.  Press 1 to speak with an agent."  I pressed one and was put through to a female that barely spoke English.  She refused to divulge the company name even after repeated requests for the info.  She asked for my cell# (I blocked caller id) which I refused to give her.  She started yelling at me and stated that I was refusing to pay (I think that is what she said???). I asked what was I refusing to pay.  She said some choice explicitives and slammed the phone down.  While writing this brief, they have called my cell# 2 more times.  If they are a debt collection comp they just broke most of the laws stated in the FDCPA and FCBA.  I am contacing the FOCA and my attorney.

After getting several hang-ups from this number on my cell phone, I called 3 times from my office land line until I reached a live person. They are debt collectors and were looking for the person who had my cell phone number before I did (more than 8 years ago). The woman was very polite and said that she would take my number out of the system as I was obviously not the person for whom they were looking. We'll see what happens from here.

By the way, the person for whom they were looking did indeed have this number before me because when I first got the number, I would often get calls for a Rafael. It is just so weird that I am just getting these calls now from debt collectors after having the number for so many years.

A woman caller asked to speak with someone that I knew but who no longer lives in this area. I told her my number was not now or never has been a contact number for that person.
