No one at the other end, but has called before.  We get a LOT of calls for solar panels out here in San Diego....may have been this type of solicitation. No name revealed on caller-ID.

Did a further search on the number and it says this:
John Brandt,  Tristam Dr,  Barstow California,  760-267-9042

Just got a call from this number.  I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message.  I'm sure it's a solicitor or fraudulent collector of sorts.

CID to my phone on 04.29.16 @ 1349 hrs PT, from " Barstow, CA."  Web search found number assigned to:  New Cingular Wireless Pcs. Caller may be John Brandt of Tristen Dr, Barstow, CA, per Hodges Directory (marketing list).  Blocked number on my handset & reported to DNC.

Called 11am eastern - no message

Called, left no message.Barstow, CA. My number is unlisted.

Call made to my landline. New # from other 100+calls. Reading the message complaints above I suspect it's a robocall. Did not answer & don't use answering machine.

Scammer - do not answer - block caller

Caller ID: Out of area. No message left. Caller now blocked.

ID says: "7602679042".....  Caller ignored the screener's warning, and said / did nothing as instructed by call blocker. Call, say nothing, ignore the screener's warning, and you get blocked! All scammers and unknown, unspeaking callers get blocked forever! Good riddance!

Called, answered, no one spoke, hung up.  Did not report to DNC as that is an exercise in futility.  Nothing comes of it except more unwanted calls.

Keeps calling - another spam call!!!!  Have blocked - my blocking feature is now full - unbelievable number of
these calls - so far this morning have received 4 calls and it is only 11:00 a.m.

Caller ID said "Unknown Caller".  Automated voice claimed to be from Blue Cross / Blue Shield health insurance and was offering "free" pain relief medication to all BC/BS members.  They asked me to "press 1 to verify of my address" in order to ship me this "wonder drug".  I hung up.

The caller, V62315232800315 ( displayed as ID on our phone . ), called us @ 12:19, noon, 05.23.2016. We opted not to answer unwanted call on the spot per 1. Suggestion of www.ftc.gov. (www.donotcall.gov.).2. The actual caller will get pay from  employer.
According,   ttp://800notes.com many people tis unwanted number since April 15..2016.
I returned the call hiding our number 20 minutes later,  a high-pitch, young lady's message:" We are sorry , you can't complete the call, please check the number & dial again." This is its message , not from my phone company.

Just got a call from this number.  I suspected it's a bogus call and let it go to my answering machine.  No message left, of course.  I then called the number back and got the telephone company recording, "this number has been disconnected or is no longer in service."  Yep, it's bogus.

Thanks. I did get a call from Barstow at this number. No message on recorder. I don't answer calls unless I know who is calling.

Hispanic girl selling solar energy for home.  Blocked.

Being on the national do not call list is a bigger scam than all these calls
Fact 1) The DNC list CLEARLY does not work, everyone should knows this by know, it's a government program that doesn't function like all or most programs they generate.
Fact 2) Filing a complaint with the FCC does not work, a total waste of time; done that.
Fact 3) Having an unlisted phone will not help you.
Fact 4) Asking/begging telemarketers or press 9 off out their call list does not work!
Fact 5) No "class action" suits are filed and certainly, this is not a remedy. Many of these telemarketers are in other countries and out of the jurisdiction of the USA.
Fact 6) Complaining to the BBB is a corrupt organization that sells their ratings to the highest bidder.

AMAZON.COM has a great selection of blocking telephones & devices, some will hold up to 1,200 numbers. They’re cheap - $40-$80 and they work beautifully!  These phones or blocking devices also block “PRIVATE”, “OUT OF AREA” and "UNKNOWN" and “DESIGNATED AREA CODES”!!!
