- Jonson| 2 repliesCaller said I'm flooding them with error reports due to a virus. Heavy indian accented dude. Don't know where the scam was going. I terminated the call with LOL when he claimed his name was 'Harvey Dent'.

- Payback replies to JonsonThe idiot must be watching a lot of Batman films, and he's living in a fantasy world.
- JimmyLady said she was from Dell Techno Services. I said I don't have a Dell computer and was told they are a different company. Probably trying to trick people into thinking they are Dell and a trustworthy source but they aren't. You can clearly hear at least 10 other people in the background spewing the same garbage she was about how they were receiving errors from computers.
When I asked if she could be more specific in what type of errors she said she could show me but couldn't tell me. I would have to download a TeamViewer type program so she could show me. She said she wasn't trying to sell anything but if you go to their website it will show that they are trying to sell some sort of PC protection stuff for like $160 per year.
Couldn't get any specifics out of them, kept being very vague.- Caller: Dell Techno Services

- Steven Gibbs| 5 repliesi like the services that the company gave... It rocks..

- Resident47 replies to Steven Gibbs| 4 repliesYes, you will very much "like the services" if you're on the scammer's side of the phone line, getting paid to "repair" a nonexistent problem and stealing private information for resale to your criminal friends. Those who are called and swindled don't think it's so hot.
- GiG replies to Resident47Which is why they're known as "shills."
- Steven Gibbs replies to Resident47| 2 repliesDude Grow up... You need a brake and all the five fingers not the same.. Take Care God Bless Happy Holidays...
- James Uslan| 1 replywhat rubbish, i spoke to a guy rudolph, and he helped me with my computer and it works fine and much better than before. Call then and check the company.

- dosh replies to Steven GibbsWhich god? Ganesh? Shiva?
- Resident47 replies to Steven GibbsI need a brake? That can't be. I replaced my own vehicle brake pads almost two years ago. Pretty easy job, and I found a good sale price and rebate offer on a nice set of Wagners besides.
In my lifetime I've owned maybe eighteen personal computers. I have one which I'd bet is older than you. I've maintained, upgraded, and serviced them all myself. I keep three in my current stable. Though I rarely scan for malware, none of them have ever known what a virus feels like. I have no spam filter locally or at my ISP, yet I doubt I get more than thirty spam mails in a year.
How can this be? When online I "drive defensively" and value my system security ahead of my personal goals. Nobody sets cookies or gets my sensitive data without a very good reason. I avoid personal data parasites such as Facebook and Google. I *certainly* do nothing so stupid as to take technical advice from some script-reading nitwit in a South Asian call center who tries to tell me that Microsoft is making house calls because I've been somehow careless.
You are correct that the fingers of my hand are all slightly different. Guess which one I have pointed upward for you, "dude". - Resident47 replies to James UslanSo you got tech support from a reindeer with a bioluminescent mutation alleged to possess the power of flight? Maybe not, but I would believe in that mythical creature before I believe that your computer's performance was magically enhanced by a charlatan who just happened to call you one day.
- Okie| 1 replyI got the same call as Jimmy re: an abundance of of error messages except the phone number I was given is 661-453-1611 in California. I asked why they didn't have an 800 number since they were a "service" company and was told their customer service department had an 800 number, but not the tech department. I was unable to obtain an 800 number. This call came from India, but involved persons with very American names. When I told them I couldn't afford $159.99, they were willing to cut the price to $59.99. I wonder about this business practice unless $59.99 is better than nothing!
