2nd time this call came in. goes right to voice mail and leaves recorded message. Uses a woman's name that is not mine and threatens me to call the hotline # or face legal retribution.
So I call it and it picks up but no one is there, but I can hear a room full of foreign guys jabbering away.

I received a call from these idiots asking if I had a lawyer because criminal charges were being filed against me. Could not give me anymore info but wanted me to call a number to speak to a lawyer and he would explain the charges to me. The number was the exact same as the number that called me. Interesting!!!!!! I called it, first time went to voicemail, second time so foreigner answered and asked me the same questions. I told him that he has the wrong person, he went off and asked if I thought they were idiots, I told him yes and to proceed with the charges. He hung up the phone. Keep trying to call and no one is answering.

They said the same thing to me, even called my job.

They started calling yesterday and have been calling since 6:30am this morning, i told them they have the wrong number and then call right back. They just called again and once again i said wrong number and the man on the phone told me to F**k off...

Person states is a lawyer and their is a criminal case against my wife. They also state the have here SS# they just harass for some reason do not ask for money? I also had some one from NY call do the same thing.

Look these dudes have called me many times, said I got an online loan I did not pay back. Not true. Yes they have my personal info includ SS#. As I once did stupid stuff I'm not proud of I had this dude stuttering. Told him if he had so much info why didn't he check to make sure I have no criminal history before he tried some lame scam on me told him due to my past activities I have a caller locator on my phone and told him his address and that I would be turning him into my local law enforcement. Due not give these people any info or ur time it is a scam and a bad one at that. They called me back today to make threats and have been turned in.

How can we stop these people?  they will call 3 times in a row... and then they call your work... then 2 or 3 of them will call, one after the other.  Hand out threats of sending the sheriff to arrest you.  Who are these people??? How do they have so much of my info??

I dont know who they are or how to stop them but if someone finds out how to do so please post ....

They are also calling and threating me!!!!!!!!! i never received a loan from these people

They called me today and asked if I have a lawyer and that I have 3 criminal charges. I do not and if they where from the attoney geraral office why are they calling from Ca. and I live in nEW MEXICO???

They called me today, told them they had the wrong number not to call back, he became an a$$, so I became one too. He didn't like me telling him to go back to Iran. Then I started acting like Achmin from Jeff Dunham. He didn't like that either!! Mess with them, tell them you are taping the conversation and it is going straight to my local Police Dept. Ask them when he says I know where you live to repeat the address to you. Nine times out of ten he will say I don't have too. So ask for his and he will say the same. They are a bunch of idiots, just have fun with them like I did. Haven't heard back from them.

People with a Indian acent , calling me in regard a  legal matters with the United state of america ... is a scam

I too just received a call about criminal charges being filed against me.

I have received 3 calls today from them, and it is exactly the same as Linking's post, except he told me he was calling from the State of CA Attorney General's Office, ha ha yeah right! He sounds Indian or Middle Eastern, claims his name is Stephen Collins, and that I'm in a lawsuit, but he has no details and he just talks in circles. I of course looked up the Attorney General of CA and of course he's lying which I knew already. The number is from El Centro, CA and I live in Atlanta Ga! I am reporting them, because I'm sure it is illegal to falsely identify yourself as a Govt. official. These people are idiots, who do they think they're fooling? It's almost kind of entertaining ;)

Yeah good ole John Anderson left me a voice mail this morning as well.  The number today is 760-335-6956. I tried calling back but the phone just rings and you hear a weird beep. So anyway just to entertain myself I texted the following message to them as by all accounts they are also using cell phones.  

"My Attorney of record tried to return your call on my behalf. After further investigation my Attorney found out that you are an organized crime ring out of the Middle East calling on VOIP and masking your number to look like a US phone number. You are committing RICO Crimes and acts of Terrorism against US citizens. The FBI, Homeland Security, FTC and US Attorney General are very well aware of your crimes. Therefore, do not contact me again as I will take legal Action. I am also cooperating with the FBI, Homeland Security, FTC and the US Attorney General to bring your crime ring to justice. DO NOT CALL ME AGAIN FROM ANY OF YOU PHONY NUMBERS."

The TEXT WENT THROUGH!!! So now I know as why would any official government agent be calling from a cell phone and not an office number.

According to snoops.com the number is a cell phone.
