He had the name of the registered computer owner, I told him that person wasn't available, he said to please call him back at the same number and ask for Rick Cooper. He had a very heavy Indian accent and I couldn't tell what the name was he was saying. When he spelled it out as Rick Cooper I said ok and hung up and looked up the number on here.... I figured it was very unlikely Microsoft cared about its users that much especially for no monitoring charge.
- Caller: Claimed it was Microsoft
- JimThis number called to inform me that my computer was have serious network issues and that his company worked for Microsoft to help resolve such issues. I was having network interface issues related to my network card drivers. Anyway, he further said that he knew of the issues from network problems being reported to Microsoft and was calling to help, saying that people are trying to hack into my computer and wanted remote access to my computer to fix. Seems they are hacking into confidential files and calling to sell services or trying to gain access for fraudulent activity. I would not trust them at all.
Scary part is how did they get notifications for the network issues I was having and how did they get my phone number. NOT GOOD!- Caller: Inet
- ScamshutdownSCAM. Said he was from Inetsupport, could hear "boiler room" in the background, got his phone number (spoofed I'm sure) and hung up.

- Lisa| 1 replyGot a call from a lady with a heavy accent telling me my network was being hacked. I did not believe her and asked for her name and number to call back. I was then transferred to 2 different people trying to convince me to put a fix on my computer. 5 hours later after telling them to [***] they called back asking me why I did not call them back to fix the problem. I told them I will call Microsoft support myself to resolve any issues. It was all total BS. Just know that Microsoft will not go through any 3rd party to resolve problems per Microsoft support. Do not believe these people.

- Call type: Scam suspicion
- Tygerkat replies to LisaThere's also the fact that the computer companies don't monitor our computers so wouldn't have a clue if our networks were being hacked.
- AaronThis is a scamming fake Tech Support Company. It's a guy from overseas that lies and says nothing more than he's from your tech support company.
