I have been receiving calls from 406  -720-2882 and 760-542-2211 both at home/cell phone/and at work number.  They say they are from American Legal Services of California.  Well this is a scam number and company.  I understand that they contact people who have had payday loans - both paid and not paid - threatening them at work with arrest on the spot/wage garnishment, etc.  I notified the Attorney General's office/Sangamon County Sheriff's office/Springfield Police Department of this scam and their telephone numbers.  Please watch out for them.

I have been receiving calls on home phone 000-000-0000 - now who does this?  Only a scam artist I am sure.  Even the FBI has the decency to post their numbers.  Anyway again today I received at work 2 calls from 760-542-2211 and at home also stating their will pick me up at work IMMEDIATELY if I do nto pay off an old pay day loan.  Which is paid by the way!!!!!!! His name was Samuel Bishop with the heavy accent as you can barely understand them to say the least.  I am sick and tired of these people calling constantly all day and night long.  They are from American Legal Services of California they say.  Call immediately today or we will pick her up and charge her $10,000 to get out of jail plus never get a job again, etc.  And the story goes on and on and one.  Can anyone stop these harassing calls?  PLEASE!!!!!!!!

I have also been receiving phone calls about a payday loans. They are also telling me to go to a web site of www.FinCen.gov. This web site also tells you to be careful of Scamers. Kind of funny giving you a web site that warns you about someone like them. They are saying the same thing about being from the American Legal Services of California. Stating his name is Samuel Bishop. He asked me a question if I had ever been arrested for fraud, money laundring, internet fraud, or for writing bad checks and of course the answer is NO!!!!. I wish these people would leave me alone.

Fraud fraud fraud......Samuel Bishop is his name he likes to make you feel threatened but then you come to realize all he tell you is bs....I'm sick and tired of these scam people.. He's been calling me at work non stop...I'm afraid I'll lose my job over this

Guess what, it happened to  me too.  I thought it was legitimate because he had all my information.  Like an idiot I paid the debt.  I have now reported him to the police and in awaiting for the FBI to return my phone call, the local office here isn't staffed all the time.  If they can not provide you proof of the debt then tell the to buzz off and contact your local police.
