Caller, who didn't even know my last name, wanted my lawyer's information or for me to call another number since the attorney general is investigating me.

Received a call from someone with a thick Eastern Indian accent claiming to be Allen Clarke from the US Treasury legal affairs dept. Allegedly there is action on my account. really? my account with the US Treasury? I don't think so.

Same as above, thick eastern accent, claiming to be from Dept of legal affairs.

Just called the number and also spoke with someone who had a think eastern accent claiming to be George Parker representing the Dept of Legal Affairs of the IRS. When I said the IRS can contact me in writing, he told me the police would be at my house in 30-40 minutes to arrest me, then he hung up on me.

Got call at 11:00 am today.  Left message for me saying I need to call because some legal affairs department has a warrant for me.  Call originated from Barstow, CA. but sounded more like it came from New Dehli.

Received a call on answering machine stating they were from the Department of Legal Affairs and that law enforcement action was going to be started against me and that I needed to call this number in order to take care of this legal action about to happen. Spoke in a very thick accent and could barely understand them. I deleted the message and looked up the number they stated to call 760-678-5556. Why don't they get a real job instead of trying to rip people off!

Same as everyone else, right down to the thick accent. Left message on answering machine 6/12/15 @1503. Guess I won't bother returning that call!

Wanted information said they were from the IRS Legal Finance Dept

Caller left a vm on home #.  Said he was from department of legal affairs, thick Indian accent, Glen Koch, asking for either myself or attorney to call him at the 760#.  Ended the message by saying I should do the right thing, and return the call.

My dad got a call from them as well and he was freaking out because they were saying they were coming to lock him up . I went online and it says it's a scam . He was so relieved .

Was left a voice mail on home phone # with my first & last name- thick accent had to listen to message twice. He said he was from the dept of legal affairs and that a law suit as been started against me and to have my attorney call them right away. His name was Brandon Carter. He even ended the call telling me to have a blessed day.

Allen - thick Indian sounding accent. I immediately said the Treasury Department wouldn't be calling and hung up. This is the second time this week they have called.

Received a message from Allan Parker from the legal affairs department saying There was enforcement action against me. He had such a think accent, I could barely understand him.  The number was 760 678 5556. Last time I checked the government doesn't usually have someone who you can barely understand leave you a message to tell you to get a lawyer.

There was a message on my answering machine for my husband from an Allen Carter.  He had an heavy Indian accent but neither I or my husband could fully make out what he was saying.  He did mention something about contacting an attorney if my husband hasn't already done so.  This was definitely a spam call!!!!!

They called and asked if I had an attorney and he was from dept of treasury,  said i had a warrant out for my arrest and asked for me to call 760-678-5556 and ask for dwayne macguire ext 105.  i called and he said that i miss filed taxes in 2011 and i had a choice to pay $4987 or go to jail.  he then transfrred me to a women.  she repeatedly asked if i had the mans of getting cash and buy vouchers.  she asked that i kept her on the phone, drive to the bank and withdraw the money then she would tell me where to go to buy vouchers.  this was ridcuus!  also, 911 kept flashing on my screen during the call and they said not to answer because the police are calling to trace my location to pick me up and lock my up for 6 months.  these people are crazy!

This is one many scams based overseas. The caller pretends to be an IRS agent in the hope that they can scare somebody into paying. T

At 445 June 19 2015 I got a call from Allen carter a message I m being investigated by legal affairs I guess they called everyone today

Same type of call. Guy called with thick accent, telling me Dept of legal affairs, legal action against me, have my attorney call, etc. The IRS always sends a letter, they don't have enough people to call you!
