Purported to be fed government calling re emergency financial matter. Called3 x. Strong Spanish accent. Call from el centro, CA.

Supposedly from legal affairs division of dept. Of treasury with info on legal action that has been started against me. Strong Indian accent and lots of talking in background

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

Are on Do Not Call registry but obviously they don't care.  Caller had a very heavy accent - believe it was Indian but not sure since he was very difficult to understand and the line was not a clear one.  Gave his name as Marc Anthony (Ha, Ha) and purported to be calling  from the U.S. Treasury regarding a legal matter we were involved in.  He screwed up in many ways but the most obvious is the name he was calling about is not listed under the number he called!  Plus everyone should know that the government never contacts people by phone about anything like this.

Today I received a call from someone with the name Chris Wilcox having a strong middle eastern accent.  
The caller i.d. read:
El Centro CA 760-693-1767.  1/26/15 @ 4:56 PM.

Caller's exact words were:
"This is Chris Wilcox calling from the Dept of Legal Affairs of the U. S. Treasury in regard to an Improvement Action that have been started on you.  It is wery important you call back. My number is 760-693-1767 (repeated number).  If for any reason you are busy to call me back, I would suggest you having your recent attorney, because delaying call would end up in legal mess for you.  I hope you take this right and call me back.  Looking forward to speak to you. Until then good luck.”  

LOL, Did you ask if he could sing "Vivir mi Vida"?

This is a total scam.  When I tried to dig deeper, I got hung up on and was threatened "wait and see".

I received one of these calls on my answering machine from "Chris Wilcox, Legal Affairs verbal warning of emposement" If I understood him correctly, but the accent was very heavy. He did leave this number to call with legal council.
I am very glad I was able to find this information in these posts when I looked up the phone number.

I received one of these calls also on my answering machine from Chris Wilcox , claimed ,calling from Dept .of legal affair of US
  treasury. verbal warning of enforcement action. I noticed the heavy accent on his voice . He did leave this number( 760-693-1767) to call  him in person . I am very glad I was able to find this information on these post when I look up the phone number.
