Calls, says hello and hangs up.

Just calls and I do not answer becasue I do not know that number. They do not leave message.

We got a call telling my son that our computer was in risk of being infected due to downloads and wanted my son to do what he was about to instruct on our computer - I got on the phone and asked for his telephone number to call him back and he hung up on me - Beware of these calls!

I just got a call.  Said the same thing to me.
Told him yeah, whatever, you're a scam. Pretty sure my internet provider would contact me, not some scammer.  and told him not to call again.

Rec'd a call telling me they were from win tech windows tech support. Advised I have a lot of viruses on my computer that he wanted to fix it. I asked what company he works for and he said I already told you I am windows tech support a division of Microsoft. I told him no and hung up

I answered and talk me about my business. Tell him send me a e-mail. Call from a travel company he said.

a man kept calling me from this number... after saying 'hello-hello'.. he kept asking me who i was.... i asked him to redial after checking the number... the person kept calling me again and again till i switched off my cell phone.

Received call from "Baker" in CA at 7:20PM EST Jan 12, 2012.  Did not answer; no message left; checked here for info and read about the scam.  Seems to me law enforcement at some level ought to be able to wrap this up rather easily.  Time for these people to go to jail or under it!

I am at work and missed the call it came up as an american number but im from England and i dont no any1 in America!! Ive just googled number and found this page!! Does any1 no if this is going to affect my iphone4?? Thnaks Catherine ( and i wont b answering)

Received call from this # and the person (hard to hear, but sounded like from a call center) started laughing and speaking a foreign language (Spanish, maybe) in the phone fast, then hung up

We are in Canada and received a call from this number!  We did not reply and they did not leave a message.

got a call from this # saying the computer i am on may be at rist... told the rep i was on a phone at the moment... they did not know what to say and hung up ... dummies

I received a call from this number a few min. ago!  He said he worked for Microsoft and that he had detected a problem with my computer and it would be shut down if I did not do as he asked!  I told him I was not interested and to take my number off his list!  He started yelling at me that my computer was infected!  So I just hung up on him and looked up his number, and here I am!!!

Contacted me to tell me he worked for Microsoft and that my computer was infected -I asked how he obtained information. He said Microsoft got a message from my computer. Gave him remote access to my computer. After 25 min on the line, I was told It would cost me $169 to fix the problem. I said no, I'd take my computer to where I bought it. He still tried ---- told me it would cost more to take my computer elsewhere. I finally hung up. Did my own scan and everything seems fine. Be ware ----  I'm not sure if he put something on my computer.

I received a call from this number about 25 minutes ago, saying that there were problems with my computer. I asked to speak to a supervisor who told me their number was 888-772-3110, but call display showed 760-733-9829. I am on Canada's national do-not-call list so I have reported this instance to them also. I think they called me about 2 weeks ago as well (same kind of pitch) but at that time I just hung up on them.

Screened with my caller ID. Originates in south & east California. Do not answer, & do not give access to your computer. Very likely phishing for private info, passwords, etc., for theft or identity theft.

Got seven calls today from this number and 6 others all saying I had window problems. A word of advise.....Try to keep no important info on your computer like Bank info, SS numbers, tax forms, ect, ect. If you do need to keep info on the computer I would suggest using Cypherix LE and store the info in that, its free and does offer some protection, I also use SD memory cards for my important storage of tax forms and important papers, it can be unpluged from the computer and stored in a safe place. Most poeple know this but a couple here seems to have had a close call, its almost at a point you can't trust your friends leave alone your enemies. Be very careful what you download, you may get more software than you expect and not know it till it is to late. Just trying to help and warn people, a computer can be an open book online.
