Be careful of this number. Says he is from a computer company and that my computer shows it has had a virus for 2 weeks. A total scam.  Didn't even know what kind of computer I had when asked he just said windows based computer.

Yet another of the scam computer phone call.  Cannot speak English very well. and just wants me to give them control of my computer.  Yeah right.

Person who cannot speak English well trying to tell me about computer infection.  I hung up on him. Gr-r-r-r-r-r

Same experience as above posts -- said he was from "coastal security center" or something like that.  Said someone was trying to use my laptop for bad purpose.  Wanted me to log on to their service. Referred to "our server" having reported a problem.  Of course they have a server or two.  Glad to read govt is shutting down some of the malware markets.  He hung up when I told him to send me a mail by US postage.

A man called my home claiming that my computer had a virus, and that it could stop functioning if I didn't let him run a virus check on it.  Yeah, right!  I asked him to remove my number from the company's database because our home was on the do not call list.  It was like speaking a foreign language.  These individuals are clearly not operating on the up and up, and they couldn't care less that they're violating US law.

They told me they were from VAP Secure and gave me the same story.  I told them that's interesting because I don't have a computer.  She asked how I check my email and I told her "On my phone" and she hung up on me.  I am on the do not call list.  How do these people get our numbers?

Do not call list has nothing to do with your scam (criminal) caller or protecting your number. There are many ways to get your info over the internet. Also there are millions of call lists being bought and sold by the legit as well as shady businesses. They probably have your photo, shoe size and blood type.

We are receiving so many phone calls from someone claiming to help me fix my computer.we told them we r having no problem, and don't require any help.they become very insisted that we need their help.again they keep calling...we then tell them we have no computer...then again say they are just trying to help.When they call we just hang up, and to stop calling.today we received another call.. Told them we are going to file a complaint.these people don't stop.

They hung up when I asked they how they got my phone number -  i tried calling back the number so I could badger them with questions, to give them a taste of their own medicine , but the call would not go through.

Just got the same kind of phony support call. I tried to keep him on the line but he figured out I was just messing with him. Dang, where's the fun in that.

call every day compiuter scam

Just received a call from VAP at the same number. Same script as above. He asked me to push a couple of buttons on my computer and asked me what I saw. I told him I could see he was calling me from outside of the country - likely India or Pakistan. I also told him he had called a U.S. governmental agency. That scared him enough to tell me not to worry, just to hang up.

1st call from this number, now silenced and ignored forever

Just got a call from this number and it was the same as above. Tried to go with it a little for the fun if it, but gave up because I couldn't understand her at all.

Scam computer trouble call. Speaker had very poor command of English.

This number calls frequently. Says name unavailable. Calls early in the morning and several other times. Can someone please stop the person at this number?

Called me up and I told him I was in IT and I knew it was a scam...he called me a MFer...nice guy...guess they hate when you call them out LOL!
