National Recoveries is a collection agency.  A lady by the name of cathy leaves messages but does not let you know that she is with a collection agency.

Interesting. When I first got my home phone number after moving to my current address, I bought a large ticket item at a local store that had to be delivered. During the purchase/scheduling process the salesman asked for my phone number to put me in their computer database and/or do a search to see if I was already in it. My number popped up and the guy got an odd look on his face and asked if I was "Mrs. So-and-so"? And I said no, so he put my information in and (I assume) took my number off whatever account came up when he did his search. Not too long afterwards, I got a few calls asking for a "Mr. or Mrs. So-and-so" (same name) and told the callers that they had the wrong number, it no longer belonged to anyone of that name. I also got a threatening (and profane) call from what I assumed to be a private citizen demanding to speak to some man (he gave a first name) about getting his money back, or else. I told him that whoever he wanted no longer had this number but he accused me of "covering" for them and demanded I deliver his message. (Thankfully, he never called back.) So it's funny that I'd now be getting calls from a collections agency - presumably they're looking for the same people, the ones who had this number before I did... but I've had it for 10 years! Yeah, good luck collecting on that old debt, National Recoveries, if your contact information is already a decade old. :)

Yes this horrible Cathy woman has been stalking me as well. I've told them (not Cathy but someone else with them) that I was not this Michelle person and yet they continue to call. It's ridiculous. I just received a call asking for a Tara Thompson, right last name but don't know a Tara.  They just randomly call anyone with that name and it makes me mad.  I did call back and this guy answered and I said I was calling for ext. 632.  He asked for my phone number and I reluctantly gave it to him.
I instantly said, Tara Thompson?  I said I have no idea who that is.  He nicely said he would let her (the girl who originally called) know that she had the wrong number.  It's pretty much a scam as far as I'm concerned.

Very rude and condescending. The woman I spoke with told me she'd been trying to reach me for months (she had never left a message on my phone). Then when I told her I couldn't afford to take care of the debt this month, but would love to take care of it next month and be done with it, she told me that was unacceptable and that she was going to mark me down for resufal to pay and refusal to cooperate. I told her I didn't see how I was refusing to do either since I was more than happy to set up a payment for next month. She just repeated "refusing to pay, refusing to cooperate." Then said bye and hung up on me.

NATIONAL RECOVERY SERVICE ......... looking for CHANNING RATCLIFF ........... ASKEd for MY Soc. Sec Number.   REFUSED.  Gent called me uncooperative and sid, "Watch for the process server".

BITE ME ............ the "process Server" gets "RESISTANCE" as the ........................ him in half!

Comapny is indeed National Recoveries, Inc. Company contacted me about someone else's debt - TWICE - which is a violation of the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA, which can be found at: http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/15/1692.html). I took legal advice about them and immediately acted on it. National Recoveries, Inc. = debt collector varmint poon-tang. If they contact you, gather your evidence, find a law firm like Krohn & Moss (http://www.krohnandmoss.com) and literally make them pay you for what they've done to you - by taking them to court. The best they deserve is crocodile tears - if even that.

National Recoveries, Inc is a very up standing collection firm.  Hopefully you can understand that our job if very difficult.  We work with every walk of life and in all-most-all of the cases, we service their situation with respect and integrity.  Where most conflicts arise is when the consumers gets angry at us.

Woman left message for an unknown person on my number held for the last 7 years.  Clearly bill collectors dialing at random.

Yeah the Joe/Joel whatever his name is guy calls us all the time. We are paying our debt every month but they continue to call as though we aren't, despite repeated attempts to ask them to stop. The next step is that I am going to send them a formal letter requesting them to stop. Hopefully that ends it so that I don't have to get the FCC involved.

Oh and they repeatedly call my house before 8am. Not all of us have to wake up that early.

This company is NOT reputable, because reputable people do not have rude employees and poor customer service. Reputable companies do not have to get verbally hostile over the phone and reputable companies do not have their employees stalk websites like this to try and defend themselves against the internet.

Your job is difficult because you harass the honest working men and women of America at all hours of the day, refusing to work with them, trying to bleed them dry of every cent they own. You debt collectors are worse than the IRS.

I have been getting you people to stop calling me for a debt that I have been paying regularly. If they could have they probably would have spit on me. I have been told so many lies by people who think that I am gullible like that, and I am sick of it.

You have a difficult job because you make it difficult. If you're here looking for sympathy, you're not going to get it. And nobody is going to think that you are some kind of a great company just because you come on here and try to put up a false-front of helpfulness and courtesy. It's just not going to work.

I checked the website, why is it that the number that shows up on my phone from them, according to their website is a fax number?

national recoveries a dead bead colection agency.if you get a call from them.do not answer any questions.you just hangup on them.they are very tricky and a very big scam agency.once you say something to those scammers.2 days later they will send you a dead beat account.they pretend to be nice and caring;but do not fall for this crappy scammers.

what's funny about those scammers. when i received their dead beat account;there was a $600 of penalty/charges/collection charges.i have never heard of them or seen anything from them.where did the charges came from.
all i can say kiss my big left behind and make the big right behind jaleous.

received a message from chris thunder, who by the way, never specified where he was calling from. i returned his call and he was so unprofessional. i asked to speak to a supervisor and he refused. i've already advised them not to call me without identifying themselves or i will take legal action. chris sucks at doing his job as a debt collector!!! he needs to be fired!! with his condescending and unprofessional ways, i doubt anyone would willingly want to pay them. this collection agency is a joke!!
