Has called me not once, not twice, but THREE TIMES TODAY!  If they call me back again, I'm putting them on file with the state Attorney General's Office for harassment.  This is BS!

it''s the Fraternal Order of Police, They are looking for donations for the fallin' police officers fund, to help out families who lost someone in the line of duty.

Most of those organizations are fake.  They use paid callers.  Administrative expenses take 60-95% of every donation.

If you want to donate to your local police call the local non-emergency number and ask where to send the money.  Do not give to people who call you.

I do not know who these people are but they also ask for my husband by name and refuse to say what the call is in regards to.My telephone number is a non published number and it would be great to know how they got it whether it is off of a paid for list of people who meet certain criteria. Also if it were the faternal order of police, their numver will show up on caller id as unavailable, and they always identify themselves to telemarket for donations

They just keep calling.  We don't answer; we rarely use our home phone so if we don't know the caller we don't answer.  But they are persistent; have called 2-3x daily for the past week or so.

Called the number back after they identified me by name and hung up. Their voice mail is set to NOT let you leave a message.  Man have they woke me up at least 5 times this week and I work nights. NEXT time I'm going to ask them to take my number off their list if they call me back then, I am small claiming them for a dollar amount in court.

One or two rings on multiple lines, just enough to disturb.  Just goes to 'no-messages-accepted' recording when I call them back.  All my numbers are on state and national Do-Not-Call listings.

    Not Funny
Yep, I am getting the calls, too. Fortunately I have my cell set to not ring until after a certain time, so they don't disturb my sleep.  But they called me at 5:15 am... and I live practically down the street from them!

For those who work nights, or just want sleep, I suggest getting Google voice. You can program any number to not ring at set times, shunt particular numbers into eternal voicemail and remove them when you choose.... all for free.

And get text messages or email when you get voice mail.

Nope, I did not get paid by them. Since the service is free anyway, I thought, what's the harm?

I,too, have received several calls from this number at different times of the day and evening.  I haven't answered and they never leave a message until today.  All they did was say my name today.  My number is also on the do not call list.  People that know me have my cell number, which is also on the do not call list, so I know if my home phone rings it is probably a sales call.  Too bad they can't catch the hint!!

There are calling me daily as early as 8:00 in the morning, very annoying and tired of it!  I see someone mentioned it's from FOP, yeah well, they were calling the past few weeks and it showed up as IN ST FOP, calling me at least 4 times a day.  Now, it's this Affiliated VM.  Can't they get the hint when I don't answer?

These people are unbelievable!! They have called us for weeks! They even called this past Saturday at 8:30AM. I expect anyday now we'll get a call in the middle of the night. I screen my calls and it's always Affiliated VM. The calls stopped for about 2 weeks and I thought they had gotten the hint because we never answered. They started up again. We bought new phones that have caller blocking and I entered the number and it blocked their calls, so they started calling with a new number and I have now added that number to be blocked. This is harassment! We are on the Do Not Call registry. Why even have this registry when there are so many loopholes?! Will filing a complaint with the Indiana State Attorney General do any good?

    Just tired of this...

I'm tired of this organization that is hired by the police dept to beg for money so they can help children. Can't police and fire depts. just do the jobs that they were intended to do? There are agencies out there that are meant to help others like this. This call comes from central Indiana. It takes them several calls to get through because they must dial about 10 numbers at once and the first one who answers wins. There should be a law...but then what police dept is going to shut them down when they are hired by police departments?  Because they are supported by the police dept, they do not get cut off by my "do not call list".
