This agency does collections for Sallie Mae Student Loans. The company name is General Revenue Corporation. They never leave a message.

Always call at the wrong time

They keep calling and not leaving a message and hangup when you answer the phone.  The is from Sally Mae........  How they got my number I do not know because I have never had a loan through them.........  You call the number back and it keeps repeating the recording.

Call from agency looking for a person with same last name.Unrelated to me and unknown to me.

I have gotten at least 20 calls from this number who is calling for a Ruth (last name garbled) and I continue to tell them no one here by that name but they keep calling. Some are automated calls and they tell me they are removing my number from their records, but they keep calling. One again this morning that woke me up.

I get phone calls at least 5 times a day. I have no clue who it's from, but I guess it makes sense that it's Sallie Mae since I had a loan through them. They leave a message, but it's really really scratchy, and you can't understand anything except for a faint voice that says a word. Not sure what to do, but I know i'm not going to call them back until they catch me at a good time during the day.

This number keeps calling my business phone, claiming to be from Sallie Mae.  Always different people (male and female), who identify themselves by first name, and always wanting to speak to somebody who does not work here regarding an "urgent business matter". They start around 8:30am and go until sometimes 7 or 8 at night.

Call several times a week. Left a message but it is not understandable. They ramble very fast and the person is very quiet. I am hardof hearing so I even played the message for a hearing friend - they couldn't understand it either!
I have never had a student loan and do not have any collection accounts so have no idea why they would be calling me. Also I am on the do-not-call list.

I have no idea how they got my number, I've never dealt with these people.

Repeated calling leaving no message, I finally called back taking the number from my caller ID and was told I promise you if you will just tell me the number you are calling from I will remove it from the list.  Mistake, they now are calling my cell phone as well.  I asked them to please stop and the reply was, we have information you need concerning your student loan.  I explaine I am not in the red and I am do  not need any information they have, and I was told when you you give us the information we are asking for the calling will stop.  I call this harrassment.

Just got a call from them...no message.  I do have an account with Sallie Mae but it is in good standing.

Received several calls from them.  Was told she was Sallie Mae and she needed the last 4 digits of my social security number in order to verify that they had the right person.  (They called me????)  Of course, I wouldn't do that and said I wanted to know who was calling.  All I got was "Sallie Mae."  I told her that was not enough information and to stop calling.  I hung up the phone.

My ex-wife hasn't paid her loan and won't answer her phone. So, guess what? They're calling me. No message, just repeatedly anoying.

they called me and  left a msg.. called me 3 times i nthe past hr now. but im working and cant pick up. i checked my msgs and someone named ruth called and is calling o behalf of my school and needs to speak with me. and she left a different number then she called from. im trying to get a loan for my outof school balance so maybe thats why idk

Have advised telemarketer to remove this number from calling list as this is a business phone number.

More of the same, a dozen calls a day, answer the phone and no one is there!
They call all day and into the late evening, I'm ready to change my phone number!

Like the other postings - it's Sallie Mae. I never answer the phone, but they seem to be calling with different numbers throughout the day... I heard that they send out random calls like this to see when people pick up - that way they are more inclined to call during that specific time in the future... Don't know if that's true or not, but I avoid the calls as much as I can.

These people are calling me because my brother has a student loan through the people they represent. I haven't talked to my brother in 4 years, and if they keep calling me they will be broke when I'm done with them. BTW: I didn't cosign a thing, nor provide any statements regarding his ability to pay.

I keep getting calls from these people for a person I do not know. I have had my number for 5 years, told them multiple times yet they continue to call. I am going to hire an attorney and get paid each time they call. Collection agency's who continue to call after you have notified them to stop must pay a penalty for each violation. They call and call and call and call and...well you get the point. It's annoying, especially I've already called Sallie Mae to let them know when I would be able to pay my past-due balance.
I've learned not to answer the phone-they'll get the money when I have it.
