Call came through and as soon as I tried to answer it hung up.  When I returned the call to see what corporate structure/person was calling a message came on asking me to wait for the operator.

I got a call from this number five minutes ago.Just one ring.No one answered.

One or 2 rings (to my cell phone)
and then nothing. Didn't have a chance to answer it.

This is a scam originating from several Caribbean islands, including Grenada (area code 473), Dominica (area code 767), Jamaica (area code 876), Montserrat (area code 664), Turks and Caicos Islands (area code 649), Antigua and Barbuda (area code 268), Barbados (area code 246), and Anguilla (area code 264).  This scam seems to have started in Grenada and has quickly spread to a number of other Caribbean islands.

The original scam attempted to lure the called party to return the call to the Caribbean number by calling at inappropriate times (e.g., early morning), ringing only once or twice, and not leaving a message.  The called party would incur international and other phone charges for a return call, with a portion of the proceeds going to the scammers.  The latest iterations of this scam have combined the cramming feature with other scams (i.e., prizes, debt collections, “computer virus” problems, etc.).

Got two calls on my cell too. No messasges left but number displayed is 767-235-9450 and I called back, recorded message says to hold for that extension... hmm.... hmm... I hung up....

Clalled back.." Please wait for operator" so I hungup

I received a few missed calls, of course I call back, thinking, it may have been important...well lets just say I probably just cost myself a few bucks attempting to call back. Stupid.

Got a call to my cell, which identified it as an international number.  Did not answer.  Scam.

I got a call last night to my cell but instead searched the phone number and this is what I got.  Says "Dominica" under the phone number on my cell phone.

Got the same call 5 min to midnigjt last night, also rang just a ring,

Do not call them back, scam, if you call them back you will be charged around 20 dollars for the call and then around 8 dollars per minute (that is why they put you on hold). I have had around 3-4 or these calls, I never called them back thankfully, people like this make me sick.

Happened to me. Just one ring. No message.

Not happy about these calls showing up on my cell - i'm much more apt to answer my cell. grrrrr

calling my cell when it is on the national do not call list. not happy about these calls. the second one today. first one was from 767-235-8681 two hours ago.
