Recorded voice making a dunning threat from MCI

This number called when I picked up the automated system said, I would go to court if I didn't talk to a representative

Automated system said if I didn't  talk to a rep. I would go to court. In my opinion just another collectors scare tactic. Not buying it.

These people are scammers. Trying to scam you and also get your credit card info. They offer to get you out of State and Fed trouble.

Received a recorded msg from 770-450-6977 threatening legal action against me in a federal court.  It said to press "1" for more info, which I did and no one ever came on the line.  Call finally dropped.  I have no idea who these people are and I certainly do not have any legal action in any court, anywhere!  Who are these clowns?  

First of all, if this was legit, they would be more professional. Today was my second call. I do not answer. The voicemail was someone conversing with another person in the office. It was pure mumble jumble!

I received a phone call from 770-450-6977 I think she said MCI or NCI claiming that I owe a payday loan and if I didn't take care of it, I would go to court and they would garnish my account.

I got a call from 770-217-2175 today.  This woman claimed she was "Agent Carolyn Heath" and that I needed to call her to document my side of the story!  What a scam!!! Which part of the Fair Debt Collection Act do they not intend to violate??

I have been getting this call several times a day. From what I am understanding it is a scam of some sort. It says they will take me to fedral court if I don't press 1. When I press 1, no one ever comes on the line. Of course I don't have any bad unpaid bills, so they can threaten all they want. I think they are trying to get peoples CC numbers. What a bunch of BS. Keep complaining to the right people and still nothing gets done, the phone calls continue.

I received call from this number and said to press 1 for a rep. did not press 1 hung up right away.  On the caller ID it states that the call is from the United States Depart, have no clue what department.  I think that this is a scam and some one should find out where this is coming from and put a stop to it.

Told me i was under investigation for fraud, and claiming i wasin federal trouble.  Threatned more like it. Id say they have called 10 times. 5of those i got someone to answer. They said they were looking for someone named sabrina. Never knew anyone named sabrina and this is a phone number that hasnt been in service since 2002. It was mine then. How did they get my number. Anyway. I told them if they called back i would get my lawyer. They stated my number was then removed from call list.

Recording said I was under legal scrutiny to press 1, received on cell phone. No ID ON PHONE just the number. My cell phone number is never given out, just use for close friends and family only (5 people). I never use it to call/text anyone else and no one else has it.  If I give out a number it is my landline number and I am on a Do Not Call list for both phones,so figure it is a scam. Have no reason for debt collector ever.  You would get a letter if it was anything legal!

One ring, answered and no one there, caller hung up. Blocked!! So sick of this!

Receive calls from this number all the time, they never leave a message of any type, you would think that if they had the nerve to call they would have the NADS to leave a message to make it sound more lagit but guess they don't. How's that workin for ya?

Can you please help me to stop this people from calling me, I've been telling them to stop calling my number but they still doing it.

Called and left no message. So so sick of this nonsense. I might finally give in and just change all my numbers to put an end to this!

Just trying to annoy you, as to what they are, just your average collection scammers using the same old lie. Keep posting any info you can when they call, The more we get the easier we can get the fools shut down. I find them more annoying then anything else, they get defensive when you confront them with what they are. They know they are scamming they don't want to get caught. I think putting things like facebook as a warning to friends and family to watch out for may help. But also watch for strange friend request on FB, usually with a photo of young women in bikinis or scantly clothed. this a way scammers use hoping to contact you to mine your Info.  

This must be a scam - I owe zero dollars to anyone, yet receive a recorded call stating that I am in trouble with the Federal government. You have no way of speaking to an individual so that you can inform them of their mistake. I truly wonder if any person who even does owe money would be threatened by these amateur collection tactics.

NOTE TO CALLER: "TRY A NEW STRATEGY" , even a real deadbeat would not be called to action with such nonsense.

Go away until you get your records straightened out and you have something concrete to talk about, like contract numbers, lender information, amount owing - date of alleged loan, where to contact,

I feel sorry for the employees who have to go through this crap on a daily basis - working on commission being pimped out on on every call.  

It was a recording that said there was a legal filing in process and to call a certain number in order to stop it.  What was cleaver was the other day they called and said it was "check systems" reporting someone attempting to access my checking account.  So I called, thinking it really was check systems.  The man who answered told me that he would check on the report and said yes, that a collector was trying to get his money from my account.  Well, it was a closed checking account from years ago so i wasnt worried, still thiniking that it was a real threat.  So then the guy said "so you are saying that you don't owe that bill and don't want to try to resolve it?"  Ok at that point I thought... why does check systems care if I have a bill or not, and if i want to resolve it?  So that was the clue for me and i hung up.
