You are a lying shill.  Debt is a civil not a criminal matter.  I'm sure you have an extensive criminal history, but none of it is due to any collections call you received.

This isn't even a good attempt at shilling, because I would love to know where on earth bail would be $5K for a hot check (which does not apply to any type of debt or loans btw)

If you committed fraud, you would have been arrested by local authorities with a warrant.  No "law office" nor debt collector has the power to arrest you.  Phony reports, such as yours, only serve to frighten and confuse people.  Debt is a civil matter not a criminal matter.  No one can arrest you for debt.  Debtors prisons ceased to exist in this country a long time ago.  Have a Merry Christmas and make next year the one in which you get a legitimate job and stop lying on forums such as this one.

I'm sorry to say your comment is directed at a 3rd world criminal, (sadly) out of the reach of US Justice. And you are correct, the comment is to scare people into believing what he says is true, or at least, confuse the issue. 118 Rupees a day doesn't get you much in North America, but in Asia. . .

I see they have stopped using numbers out of Nebraska and now using numbers out of GA. Same lady (recorded) speaking the same crap she has been saying for the past month. No name of who she is, no company name, no name of who they want to speak to. Same ol same ol.

I check my court records and there is NO complaint.   Always be aware of the debt "fake" collectors. Don't pay anybody over the phone. You WILL NOT be arrested for defaulting on a payday loan.

They called from GA and said something about my pending arrest. I just laughed and said you do you think your're kidding? This is a scam. They scare people into sending them money or their credit info to supposedly pay a bill. This is not legitimate. It's con-artist thieves.

it's old Rebecca Outlaw's group using/spoofing numbers out of Georgia now. Will the FTC do something or what? Same VM as the Nebraska phone numbers, with a different Georgia call back number now.

How can I verify whether or not a debt collector is legitimate?
Here are a few warning signs that could signal a debt collection scam:

The debt collector threatens you. Legitimate debt collectors probably won't claim that they'll have you arrested or claim that they or their employees are law enforcement officers.

The debt collector refuses to give you information about your debt or is trying to collect a debt you do not recognize. You have certain rights to ask a debt collector to verify the debt. You can use this sample letter to request this information. Ask for an explanation in writing before you pay.

The debt collector refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number.

The debt collector asks you for sensitive personal financial information. You should never provide anyone with your personal financial information unless you are sure they're legitimate.
If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:

Ask the caller for his or her name, company, street address, telephone number, and professional license number. Many states require debt collectors to be licensed. Check the information the caller provides you with your state officials, or the state in which the debt collector holds a license. If the caller refuses or is unable to provide you with information about his company, or if you can’t verify the information he provides, do not give money to the caller or company.

Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." This notice must include:
    The amount of the debt
The name of the creditor you owe
A description of certain rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, consider requesting this information in writing or seeking assistance before paying the debt to make sure the debt, and the company, are valid.

Tip: You can consider sending the collector a letter requesting the information by using one of the CFPB's sample letters. You can also submit a complaint to the CFPB or you can contact your state Attorney General’s office.

Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know the company or person you are talking with is a real debt collector. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft such as:
    Charging your existing credit cards
Opening new credit card or checking accounts
    Writing fraudulent checks
Taking out loans in your name

Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate – but you think the collector may not be – contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.

Report the call. Submit a complaint with the CFPB or get in touch with your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers.

Stop speaking with the caller. If nothing else works and you believe the calls are fraudulent, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files.

Tip: You can use this sample letter to write a letter demanding the debt collector stop contacting you. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.

Tip: If you're having trouble with debt collection, you can submit a complaint with the CFPB online or by calling (855) 411-CFPB (2372).

Contact the FTC.gov Immediately they are scammers.  They are trying to take advantage of people they also are actively committing Identity Fraud.  Do not agree to anything they say tell them to mail you the documents where you signed for this supposed loan.  I live in Georgia so I called the GBI on this group, I hope they all find themselves in prison for a long time.  When you answer tell then that you are going to record the conversation and you are turning it over to the state bureau of investigations record the conversation and send the file to them.  you will have just saved someone from being a victim.  There is a lady named Darlene Welch who answers the phone but doesn't give the name of the company, that should be a red flag for anyone.  When speaking to this person I asked to speak to someone in charge she put me on hold for a minute then came back and asked for my phone number.  I told her I wasn't giving her any information until I talked to someone in charge she turned around and said that I am not giving you any information then and hung up on me.  This all came about because they called my husband a few weeks ago and he gave them his number to have them look it up and the guy said that they didn't have him in the system to disregard the voice mail message.  A week later they called him back and were able to give his information like SS, bank info.  He has had the same phone number for 6 years and they were able to possibly trace his info because of that.  Please understand in the USA we do not have a debtors jail.  It is a civil matter not criminal.  You can be arrested for a bad check, but not taking a loan.  Do your research, let everyone you know about this so we can stop allowing people to fall victim to thieves.  Make them get out and get a real job to understand the value of a dollar instead of trying to bully people into paying them.  IT STOPS NOW...  I am posting this on social media too.
