- Tish| 3 repliesI received 2 calls from this number claiming to be from UPS wanting payment for a delivery. I could be wrong, but I really think it was a phishing scam. I'm in Perth, Australia.
- TimFellow said his name was Albert, from UPS. Said he got my number from the driver. Wanted to know what kind of product I was shipping "in order to find ways to improve service". I told him I was happy with the service I was getting and no improvements were necessary. He was insistent. I told him he was making me uncomfortable, and I hung up.
- Caller: Unknown- said he was UPS

- JimHi Guys I've a parcel coming from the US via UPS this afternoon I got a call from a lady claiming to be from UPS telling me that the parcel has been cleared from customs and that I have to pay the tax before it can be delivered she gave me the amount, I asked her to send me a copy of the invoice and that I would pay by bankcard or I could do a EFT. Luckily I was shopping at the time so I waited till I got home, checked my email and found a message and an invoice which looks like a genuine UPS invoice. I then tried to ring the number which was on the email 131877, once I had no answer, tried again and got connected a recorded message told me to be patient somebody would answer waited for 30mins and no one come to the phone so I hung up, I then tried a number of times after that but I got a recorded message that I wasn't able to be connected, I think it was a Telstra message.
I think this is also a scam I reported this to fraud@ups.com no answer yet. - Chris| 7 repliesIts confirmed UPS and ive confirmed it with UPS Australia, Its there main USA phone communications Base :) SO its NOT a Hoax yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay :) thought i would let everyone know seen i had 41 missed calls from it over 3 days, so i rang Sonali at Australia Sydney UPS home base and confirmed it with her as there USA Base Number and you will get called from anything from surveys to paying a bill, Mines import duty fee's so it was the credit department that was looking for me, so just thought i'd let everyone know it is UPS ringing and there calling for a good reason, BTW the girl i spoke to sounded like a HOTTIE :) Hope everyone has a Merry Xmas :)

- Fraud| 1 replyReceived call today from "Carlos", saying he was from UPS. The caller id said "UPS". He was talking nonsense about how eBay is changing the way it prints UPS labels and that I had to sign up for a new account. He wanted me to open an email he says was sent. I didn't find any email (my spam-checker had caught it). When I asked questions, he hung up.
- Dale| 1 replyScam from someone using the UPS service to enhance your usage. DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY PERSONAL INFO. UPS is aware of the scam.

- tw| 2 repliesUPS Customer Service based in Guatemala. Totally incompetent in resolving customer complaints.

- GiG replies to tw| 1 replyIt's not, this is an Atlanta Georgia area code in the U.S.
It's NOT Guatemala. The number may be spoofed. - George D.| 1 replyUPS, my hind end! I can smell a con artist quicker than a dead fish. I called him what he is, made references to his dubious heritage, told him he should be in prison and to never call me again. People who do this kind of thing should be drowned when they're pups.
- LarrySomeone from this number left a message: [CID: 770-557-3001]
“Hello, hi, my name is George. I’m calling you from UPS. Sorry that I missed you. The reason of my call is that UPS has come at your business to see how can we be more [pause] streamlined on your shipments and be more cost effective [and?] cheaper for you. If you can actual give me a call back to 866-252-1165 extension 0698, I really do appreciate it. So thank you very much for your time and your patience and I hope you have a great day. And I’m going to give a call back. I would love to hear from you. So don’t forget to leave a message and I will call you back. So, thank you very much and I hope you have a great day.”
Think of how effective this scam might be if they didn't have a foreign accent and used better English.- Caller: unknown
- JustinI got 2 missed calls over the last couple days, no messages. I called UPS via their normal number and they had nothing for me. Not 100% sure it's a scam, but I'm happy to have found this thread so I can be on guard next time they call.

- Walter| 4 repliesI'm an account executive for UPS. We have a sales group in Guatemala but the calls are routed through an Atlanta number and that's this number. It's someone attempting to sell you our services, however, if you're actually interested in UPS services just ask that your local sales rep contact you instead. This number is also used by our Customs Brokerage department when calling the states from out of the country. It's not a scam.
- S| 1 replyJust got a call this morning, a man claiming to represent UPS asked how the service was and that he had noticed we just opened an account with UPS.
He had information about our UPS account and had googled our website also.
He knew our product line.
Then he asked if he could make our shipments more guaranteed for delivery if there was a snowstorm etc.
I knew at that moment it was suspicious, I put him on hold and googled 770-557-3001 and found this site.
He had so much personal information about our company I actual thought he was UPS.- Caller: claimed to be UPS

- Jamesso this guy calls says it's from UPS and wanted to make sure I got my phone from t-mobile that is weird I called the number back and its a non working ups number so watch your butts I don't know what else to say about it
- Caller: ups
- bobby| 2 repliesThis is a real number. UPS lost a package en route to my wife and they were calling in reference to that.
- Badge714 replies to bobbySince caller ID can be faked (spoofed) It's always a good idea to NEVER give out personal information on a call you did not make. Whoever it is, you'll call them back, with a phone number you get - not the one they give you.
- CH| 3 repliesI am a Security Represenative with UPS. I can confirm this number is a UPS line from Georgia. Calls received from this line are likely regarding legitimate business. If you have any doubts, or are concerned the number may have been spoofed, ask the caller for the tracking number the call is regarding and take that information to your local UPS Customer Center for assistance (not a UPS Store as these are individually owned shipping franchises, do not have information on your packages other than basic tracking and will not be able to help you.) UPS can not usually find your package information by name or even by address if it has not reached your local center, so the tracking number is key. If you would like information on how our services can better serve you you can contact the Account Executive at your local center or give your information to a driver who will pass it on.

- DCinFLI received 2 calls from this number, and in my case it was genuinely UPS - they were calling to assist me in settling a claim for a damaged package.

- PVinMI| 2 repliesIt is legit UPS. They called me asking about product weights for some things we ship. I didn't ask why, but I assume to verify cost on a shipment that was no longer in their possession. But he did not ask any personal information of myself or the company. No harm on this call.
