I got three calls in a row after I did a Live Chat with Verizon Fios over an issue that we were having with our OnDemand service.  They said that I left the chat window open, I told them it was closed and my computer was off and then they hung up on me but haven't bothered me since.

received a call right after calling verizon support - from Satyambpo 770-779-0065 - saying I understand you're having trouble with your email and internet and may we have permission to take over control and fix the issue - declined and hung up.

I was online w/FIOS & they had me swap out STB boxes to see if it was defective, apparently
it took too long, and my online timed out. SATYAM BPO  was the name that came up.  He was
able to call me & I was able to let HIM listen to the hi pitched sound emanating from just one of
the HD Channels generated from the FIOS STB box.

Humm - by reading other posts I would presume it could be an extension for a live-chat over Verison FIOS just yesterday. It is a MUST in live chat to leave your phone number. It also seems that the Live Chat is coming from India (which most support has been out-sourced to). And after 20 minutes of what they call "live chat" where the person from India is copy and pasting there answers, the conversation was going nowhere (.... Did you remember to turn on you STB, is it plugged in and so on) was all done before I even attempt to contact Verizon (including rebooting everything).
So I am wording if the India person passes the phone number to another friend India person SATYAM BPO in stead of Verizon tech support (like what happened a few minutes ago)? Verizon tech support used to be good and local --- but now - not so much.

I just received a call from Satyam Bpo and it was the Verizon tech that I spoke with last evening checking to make sure my computer is now working okay.  This call is legitimate.

It is in reference to a verizon chat. It may be an Atlanta area code but it is rerouted.  It is definitely
    Out of country

I am getting harassed by this person as well. I chatted with Verizon online (overseas person obviously who just used my name every 4 words in the conversation, followed a script and kept apologizing for the inconvenience without ever listening to me or understanding what the issue was). We had massive outages in our town of businesses who use Verizon for their internet and cash registers plus we had sporadic outages at our home (my home based business was down for three days due to Verizon). So of course the guy in India said there were no issues and wanted to know what system I was operating on my computer, blah-blah. I knew the next thing was going to be "Unplug your cord and plug it back in". *Headache*. So I finally gave up. I found a real live human at a Pet Store who had  Verizon shirt on and asked what was going on with the local outages. He said "Oh yea we know about that. Verizon is switching to LTE so yea, the system has been up and down for a week while we upgrade." SEE???? An answer. A real life, straight-forward honest answer. Not the stupid, infantile "Mrs. Smith, So sorry for the inconvenience Mrs. Smith. Now Mrs. Smith, may I please have to your account number Mrs Smith, so sorry....." NONSENSE. I am so mad that Verizon and others have a Monopoly on pricing and slow internet speeds and since they have price fixing with the other Monopolies, there is nothing we can do about it. I just hope Google can trump all this nonsense and offer something honest and real at a price that is not financial rape while offering slave wage, foreign customer Non-service.

Got phone calls from this number way before I online chatted with Verizon about my WIFI and that the new router sucked, but now I am getting phone calls after 9 pm from this number when I am sleeping so I don't know that they called until I get up the next morning....I was chatting with Verizon online the other day they too wanted to take control of my computer but I told them no because the last time that they did I had to purchase an new computer because I got a virus right after they performed a "computer" check...never gonna do that again...

This number with the name SATYAM BPO has called her repeatedly.
It's funny, because this time, the call did come immediately after a Verizon live chat.
Then we got a call from Verizon.
Didn't get the connection until I read these posts.

Used a Verizon Chat 2 nights ago. We had some power outages in the last few weeks and keep losing internet connection. *sigh* God Bless the USA and all the overseas tech support. HA!

Got a call the day after I was on chat with Verizon.

I stupidly asked, when I couldn't understand, are you from Verizon? And he said "Yes." He asked, "Is your internet working okay?"

I realized that I had put the words in his mouth and that he lied, because Verizon hates to use the phone. I said, "I don't know who you are." He said, "I'm with Verizon." And I hung up.
