Could be a robo caller, collecting a list of valid phone numbers.  Telephone rang once, then hung up.  Definitely suspicious activity.  

Called at 2:15 on 6/17/2014.

I received a call from 770-799-6261, they hung up before I answered. I called back and the rep stated they were giving away $100 gift cards but they required a $3.99 processing fee. They wanted a credit or debit card #, along with name and address. I hung up without giving them any info. They said the gift card was good at Walmart and other stores and that this was another way that Walmart advertised. I asked how they got my name and number and they said it was from my shopping at Walmart but Walmart doesn't have my personal info.

Just received a call...hung up after first ring

Called my cell#--which I NEVER give out--rang once and hung up.  Dialed number back and got recording with details about a merchant card offer.  Dialed "1" during recording to bypass recording and was transferred to a customer service rep.  She announced herself and asked for my first & last name--I ignored the request and politely explained I was calling to have my number removed from their database.  I informed her my number was listed with both my state and federal No Call Registry Lists.  Gave her my number and she stated they would comply.

Call and hung up. No answer

Got a phone call (8:21pm) from an out-of-state number that I didn't "know" or recognize.
(Does this mean that they are involved in Interstate Fraud?)  
They, of course, left no message.  
As always, I didn't answer, but looked up the number here.  

I am on the National Do-Not-Call List, and have been for a number of years now.  
(I guess this is our government at work for us.  [Or not working for us.])  

I'm going to

AND to
https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx
and see if that can get the government to work for me, and stop these calls.  
(Yes I will go through all those steps.)  [I have also bookmarked these URL's.]  
I have also assigned a silent ringtone to this number.  (I am up to 77 now.)

Missed their call but redialed their number.  Told me I had won several gift cards:  $100, $50, and even a $5 card, but wanted me to pay them $5.97 shipping and handling.  Wanted my credit card account number to process...I suggested they take shipping/handling fee out of one of the gift cards...can't do that he explained....their rules required that I furnish my credit card number.  My rule was for them to stick the gift cards where the sun don't shine.  Call ended abruptly.
