The person runs a scam claiming to be one Dr. Jonathon Bradley who performs screening on potential personal assistants for stars.

Mostly this person runs ads on Craig's List asking for personal assistants for a business owner. Once your reply, They send back an email stating how impressed their client is with your credential, and that you need to submit a personality profile to complete the process - for an "on the town" interview. In addition, you are asked to submit a $25 fee, and send it overnight to the following address.

JP and Associates, LLC
484 Bottesford Dr. Suite B
Kennesaw, GA. 30144

The company never calls back after you send the money. Upon inspection, on Google Maps, the office (suite B) is a residence.

Beware!

This person did the same thing to me.  I was lucky enough to see this before I actually sent him the money.
I started thinking about things - the pay for such an "easy" job, the paid trips, all that money - and they wanted me to PAY to apply?  I wanted to check out the company he said he worked for, and all the results pointed me to a computer tech company.  I decided to google the phone number hoping it would narrow down a website and this is where the search led me.  I consider myself a very intelligent person, and to think that I was almost fooled into believing this guy really annoys me.
There has got to be something we can do to stop this cold heartless person from scamming someone else.

It happened to me recently. What a scam. I found them on craigslist.org so buyer beware. I did report them to craigslist and I will report them to google as well as the police in kennesaw which is my next phone call. Thank goodness I did not give them my dat of birth or social security number. No one should. This is a scam... under Personal Assistant needed.

Yea, you know I am so disappointed in Craiglist for not knowing about this...supposively this has been going on since 2005.  Come one now...we are not the only ones that may have said something.  I just sent Craiglist a complaint.  Yea, and I also noticed that on this location (supposively it sounds like a home) is for SALE!...  This is serious...and like I said I am surprised this guy has been getting away with for quite a while (since 2005).

I almost fell for this too.  I've always been aware of those date entry paying scams that are everywhere, so I kinda let my guard down on this one cause it "sounded" like a real deal.  It still didn't seem completely all there and something felt fishy to me too.   So I googled the info and found this page.  I'm so annoyed at this person cause I'm trying to find a real job too and it's probably a big joke to him.  Someone need to go arrest him and put him in jail for life.  I'm glad I found this page before I sent him anything.

Hi, you are right he is now charging $40.00. I almost bit the bullet too.  However, it just seemed to be too good to be true.  I sent an email to the paper in Atlanta along with what he sent me.  I hope they get his as*.

Hello...I received the exact email response and upon reading the attachment and seeing he was asking for money-red flags went up. I have been a PA for a long time and have undergone many background, criminal, personality checks and NEVER been asked to pay for any of it.

This guy should go to jail!

I went on BBB looking for this company and the thing that was most alarming is that in spite of having 3 pages of complaints here, they only had 3 complaints in the last 36 months with the BBB of Atlanta.  I think that we should all submit a complaint with the BBB.  I didn't send them any money b/c the request of it raised a red flag...but the other thing that baffled me is that the guy is listed as a psychoanalyst.  Why is a psychoanalyst finding jobs for people?  Also, the attachment included a "client list".  I wonder is Beyonce' and James Blunt know that their names are being affiliated with this scam.

I almost fell for it. It wasn't until I printed the package to find out that I was supposed to send in $$$ and I just had so many red flags go off that I decided to do a google search and I guess all of you know what I found. It was as I suspected. He is running this scam from Tampa to Dallas to Oklahoma City and beyond. Run and run fast.

I responded to the same add on craigslist.com and when I read the whole thing I said to myself, why in the world do I have to send $25.00 for a job that is supposed to be paying good money? So I googled the name, address and phone and saw this post. Thank you soooooo much. Everyone beware, there are scam artists everywhere. If you have to pay to get a job, then you have to know its a scam. Employers pay for your background check and drug tests if they want to hire you, you should NEVER have to pay to work somewhere. If it sounds too good to be true, then it is. Go with your first mind.

This is what my email response looked like when I submitted myself:
First off, I would like to apologize for the delay in response to your inquiry regarding this position. I just returned to Atlanta from D.C. this evening and found a note with your email attached to it.

Comprehensively speaking, my client, (whom you are definitely familiar with), was very impressed with your resume\self description, and says your skill set appears outstanding for this position.

Regarding this position, if you are still interested, for the remainder of March-April, you will be traveling to Atlanta on Mon-Tues to schedule appointments and manage the personal finances of this client. After April, the assignment will lie solely in Oklahoma City, beginning the week Mon-Wed, with business class travel to Atlanta 1-2 times a month.

There are however, 2 other applicants in the Oklahoma City area receiving this e-mail and 1 in Atlanta. Please let me know ASAP if you are NOT able to travel, ANY, not ALL, of the following dates for the interview: March  1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 10th, or 11th. If none of these dates are feasible for travel, please leave a message or an email so that proper accommodations can be made.

As mentioned in the ad, attached is a brief personality profile assessment and an application. Please complete ASAP as the tentative hiring date is drawing near. As per the directions, this will need to be Overnighted\Air\Next day.

I look forward to hearing from you; however, as a competent, adept individual I would assume everything is self explanatory at this point. However, if for any reason you have an inquiry regarding this process, please do not hesitate to contact our office. Daily, I work as a psychoanalyst in our North Atlanta/Buckhead office, so e-mail would be the preferred method of communication; however, my company cell number is also listed below.

Thank You, I look forward to meeting you this later this week!

Thank You for your response to the ad below:

________________________________________________________________________

P\T-Must be well Organized and Responsible. Paid Travel Expenses PLUS $1000

every week. Owner has businesses in Philadelphia and Atlanta so majority of

travel will be between these cities; 2-3 days out of the week. As previously

mentioned, travel, as well as hotel accommodations will be taken care of upon each trip.

Moreover, my client requests a simple personality testing to ensure a

complementary fit with himself. The last PA that worked for him turned into an

erratic individual and caused animosity between him and a very important client.

This is not by any means a stressful job. If you possess good etiquette and can

handle yourself around very affluent persons then you are ahead of the game. The

successful applicant will be flown in to Atlanta for 1-2 days for a "day on the

town" interview. This is where my client will be residing for the next month.

*These wages are non-taxed and discounted medical, dental, and vision insurance

are available.

Salary: $52,000 + Per Diem Travel
