- ScamBusterKarly James calls and claims to be from IFG of Atlanta. Said she had all my information (social security #, bank account information, etc) and in order to continue I needed to give her the last 4 of my social. I refused and told her that I don't know her, she threaten and said it was a debt collection call. She told me that if I didn't give her the last four of my social that she was going to get the judge to sign the warrant and arrest me. I told her that this seems like a matter for my lawyer now, can I have your bosses name, she hung up. Called me again the next day.
- Call type: Debt collector
- Scam BewareI receieve phone call at work from a women who claims she was going to issue warrant and have someone come to my job to arrest me. However, if that was the case she would have something in written format and sent to me first. These types of calls should stop especially when you target old people.

- Scam ArtistI received a call from the above number also. I know I don't owe anyone and I found it hard to believe why I never received anything in writing they have my phone number. Thanks to the previous post for information regarding the bogus calls. She couldn't tell me anything until I provided the last 4 of my social. My response was then sue me.
- angel smith| 1 replyThis is a real legit company
- AEPIThe company is not a legit business. They have tons of complaints against them, they are not members of the better business bureau, and change their name every 6 months or so to avoid being found by authorities. It's a scam and they are in violation of so many laws and credit regulations it's not even funny.
Do not answer their calls, contact an attorney and let's shut this down.- Caller: Smith & Cohen

- MandyI just received a phone call from this number asking for me. I pretended I didn't know who she was talking about, she told me she wasn't a debt collector and it was a legal matter. I told her she had the wrong number. That phone number is now blocked! It is obviously a scam.
- GuardianPhone call at 6:57am from a Danielle Grigsby from the Pretrial Department of Integrated Financial Group claiming that my client (who is disabled and on social security disability, funds which are judgment-proof) owes an unspecified sum to HSBC Bank. Grigsby claimed that my client had only 48 hours to discharge the debt before it went to court (false) and that said debt was not covered by the Chapter 7 bankruptcy my client filed in 2013 (also false). Grigsby claimed that companies get to "decide whether or not they will accept the bankruptcy" , which is also FALSE, and completely laughable. I hung up on her, and called back the number on my cellphone to get the voice mail of a "Robert Noble", also of IFG. Total scam, don't fall for their tactics.

- SCAMGot a call from Danielle Grigsby (if that is even her real name). She stated that she was going to call the policy and have me arrested over a loan. THIS IS TRULY A FRAUD!!!
- anonymous replies to angel smithLIAR! It may Be a company but it is NOT legit. A legitimate debt collector has guide lines BY LAW they must follow and harassment and threats of arrest is not included. I have discussed this at length with an attorney and I know the law. Read below and do NOT give these scammers any of your personal information! they are liars and thieves!!!!!

- Homemaker replies to micOnly a traffic judge or the DMV have the authority to suspend driver's licenses...NOT illegal scamming "debt collectors."
Go to ftc.gov and read the FDCPA and learn your rights. - brandi vRecieved a call also from Daniel Grirgsby claiming i owe money from an unpaid debt in 2003. I asked lots of questions wich she seemed to have answers for. I knew this wasnt my debt but was scared someone stole my identity. Contacted my credit monitors and there was nothing in collections or any past debt from that creditor. Then i found all this info and posts from other potential fraud victims. So greatful for these previous posts. When i asked why after all these years am i just hearing about this debt now. She claimed it must have been lost in the files... WOW.. She almost got me. It was all BS.. Be alert people.

- Donna RGot a call at 6:30 am (pst). Only the phone number now ends in 7616 and the company name on the caller ID is showing as LIG Corporation. I told the woman the person she was looking for was not here and I hung up. Now I am seeing these comments and am adding mine. There are a lot of these scams going around right now. Some calling to say there is a legal action being filed and they are sending someone over to serve you. I know debt collectors are not supposed to call before 8:00 in the morning or after 9:00 in the evening. You'd think people would just get a legit job instead of scamming people. So obnoxious.
- Caller: LIG Corporation
- Gary L.I also teceived a call from Ms.Grigsby about a debt to HSBC which I do not owe, as I have never done business with.
As I tend to think very quickly on short notice I asked for her bosses name and the business address. She asked why,
and I told her that my lawyer had attempted to make payment arrengments 10 years ago at which time they refused to
up a schedule. My lawyer no says if I hear from them again he will sue both IFG and HSBC she promptly hung up.
Two can play that game as they say.- Caller: IFG

- Mary BI received a call from them and they also called my employer saying that it was a legal matter. I filed bankruptcy and included ever debt in the filing so I know for a fact that it has been discharged. I told her to mail me the court documents so that i could meet with the State Attorney's office so that I can file harassment charges against IFG.
