    Not Amused
Please don't worry, this is a scam. I have been receiving the same type of calls for months. They call themselves Compliant Management for now. They call my cell and my work line daily. They also call my husband and brother saying I have a warrant out for my arrest due to unpaid payday loans. LOL - They call from 224-215-0174 and the message says to call 501-703-0180. I called both numbers yesterday morning, they argued with me, swore at me and yelled in my ear. One girl gave me their PO Box when I said I would be sending money, it's P.O. Box 2658, Phoenix, AZ 85032. When I told them I have an attorney, they won't take her info, they just say they'll see me in court and hang up. Another girl argued with me and said awful things so I said some things back. Then she hung up and called me from 773-245-0900 and cussed me out then hung up on me again. When I called the number back, a girl named Amber answered and sounded shocked that I had her number. I could hear the girl yelling at me in the background. They are just a bunch of losers that can't get a real job...wonder why? I think they are located in Illinois. Anyhow, I was terribly shaken so my attorney had her Private Investigator research this yesterday afternoon. As of this morning, all numbers have been disconnected when I try to call them, yet I just rec'd another call from the same 224 number. The voicemail now has a new number for me to call, 941-251-8163, and it has also been disconnected. :) I'm adding all numbers to this site with this same message to make others aware.

    would rather not say
I have been receiving these phone calls for awhile now, about a month ago I turned the phone number in to the police and made a report, didn't hear anything until yesterday a phone number 313-556-2551 called I called it back and yes it was them again saying I owed a payday loan from 2010 I told them yet again I have made a police report and have talked to the States Attorney  and have proof that I did not have a loan in that year, he said well maybe someone got ahold of your ss number and it doesn't matter all fingers point to you lol I said well take me to court then. then this phone number called today saying the same thing the women that left a message was very rude and her last saying was good luck in court. I had to call them back and give them a piece of my mind i'm so tired of all this. THis is the phone number that was on my caller id 708-843-8057 and this number is the one they told me to call them back on 773-245-0900. I wish there was something someone could do to have these people stopped. They really need to get a life and stop messing with others.

This is a common ploy by criminals attempting to extort money from people by scaring you into believing that you will be criminally charged, go to jail, lose your driver’s license, have wages garnished, be sued, and a variety of other variations on this,  all for an alleged or nonexistent debt.  One of the tricks they use is to call your work place repeatedly in an attempt to shame you into paying.  They also use the “process server” who calls and claims he is going to serve you, but then says you could avoid it by calling another number.

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
Read up on your rights here, get template letters to send and also make a complaint at this government site:  http://www.consumerfinance.gov/

Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.

Same scenario as others have had, a lady (Candice) trying to collect on a debt discharged under bankruptcy four years ago. She was calling for my son, it was his debt, he doesn't even live here but she will probably keep calling. Not a pleasant person.

Scammers...if you pay attention you can catch their lies. They have been trying to call me for weeks under a 217 area code and I kept picking up and hanging up on them, they switched over to these 773 and 708 area codes closer to where I live to try and trick me into answering.
Yesterday it was (708) 843-8057 and they said they were from the Cook County claims office and were processing my case and did I have time to go over it? I was at work and unresponsive and this is where I caught the lie--she indicated I could either talk to her right now or she would recommend filing a suit with the Cook County claims and would issue a summons for me to appear in court. I just let her keep rambling, it was entertaining to see her go through her multiple scripts trying to get me to respond. Eventually I hung up.

Today they called me from (773) 245-0900 trying to run the same scam...they called me (10) times in five minutes because I kept picking up and hanging up, preventing them from leaving me any voicemails...because let's be honest, I don't care what they have to say. I missed one call, you know because I have a job and work to do, and they made it to my voicemail and ran the same spiel...I have to call back by the end of the day to settle this case or else they are going to send it to court. They have been on the brink of sending this fake case to court for 2 years, and they keep using the Same wrong name and address...which is how I know every damn time it's a scam.

You should report them to the FTC and your local States Attorney but honestly I've done that for 1.5 years and they just disappear and reemerge with new phone numbers. There's no way to stop them in this day and age and the legislation is too slow to catch up to them. I've tried filing harassment cases with local PD, as well, but they have been less than helpful.

It takes a while to track them down but they do eventually get them.  it takes dozens of subpoenas and a lot of legwork.  Things don't go as quickly in real life as they do on TV.  If we could get more information on them we might be able to help.

This very rude lady called me and said she was a complaint office and even had a ss# which she wanted to confirm was mine. I did not confirm it but am concerned that they would even want me to confirm my identity with a full ss#
