Where does this call come from, What company?

Guy on the other end said his name was Tony Williams, would NOT tell the name of his business, said that he has a project going that he would like to speak with the owner about. I told him the owner wasn't interested in whatever he was selling and he still insisted on speaking with him so I hung up.

Same as Big Ben's Tires & Auto. Our Admin Asst screens the owners calls and told him that without the name of his company, we wouldn't transfer the call. He tells her, "So you mean to tell me that I cannot speak to him unless I give you a company name?" She said yes and he told her that in the case he would take his business elsewhere.

Answered our business line....the guy asked for my husband by name...I said he was unavailable and could I take a message - he hung up without another word - when I called back the number I got a voicemail box for Tony Williams

Called asking for the owner by name. When told that he was out of office for a meeting, he tried to convince me that he had the owner's cell number but had recently gotten a new phone and asked if I would please give him his cell number again. I asked what company he was with and he got angry and nearly yelled, "I'm his production manager here in (our city)." At that, I knew he was lying so I said I would have to get approval in order to give out the owner's cell. He then said, "Really!?! I'll make sure he (the owner) knows!!" He then hung up on me. Considering it's an out of state number, it was an obvious lie. It's extremely frustrating the lies and lengths these salesmen and scammers will go to in order to get personal information. Beware out there!!

I will go ahead & tell everyone who this is --- it's RAI, a radio advertising company out of Chicago. They want business owners to buy air time on your local radio station. We did it. It's a total scam. $700 for 5 mentions in a 5 day period? No thanks. DO NOT make the same mistake we did. Avoid these people. Block their number. They're always rude. I told them 100 times I did NOT want to advertise on some no-name station. They suckered my business partner, who doesn't do radio & had no idea he was signing up to advertise on some no-name station that no one listens to. Didn't get a single customer from it & we're $700 poorer for it. I have blocked their number because if I answer, they hang up. They hope to hear my male partner answer so they can sucker him again. DON'T DO IT!!!

I'm with Jane.  They scammed us too.  DO NOT do business with these people.
