They called claiming to be IRS asking for personal Information.

Automated scam call claiming to be from IRS Tax Fraud Office. Female had a pronounced East Indian accent.

Robo call IRS scam - dude sounded Indian.

Guy with Indian accent pretending to be IRS.  Call me a dirty black hole porn star when I called his [***].

Received a call alleging it is from the IRS, officer Shirley Adams.

Caller clams to be from IRS. After checking his call with IRS, he is a prank caller. The man has an Indian accent and gets upset when challenged. Caller needs to go back to the Pits of Hell from which he came from and leave honest people alone.

Received a voicemail from caller stating he was from IRS:
"The very next moment you receive this message, we want you or your retained criminal attorney of record to return the call. The issue at hand is extremely time sensitive. The number for you to call us back is 773-280-8177. Now if you don't return the call or if we don't hear from your criminal attorney either, the only thing we can do is wish you good luck as the situation totally unfolds on you. As there is a criminal case filed against you by the IRS for tax fraud and tax evasion, so before this matter execute and (?) and before you get arrested. If you need any information or if you have any questions, kindly call the IRS back at 773-280-8177. Thank you."

They call me every day.  Just ignore them and they will stop calling.

Indian IRS scam claiming to be IRS -

received the same call. When I told her to contact my tax attorney, she said the person handling my file was out of the office and quickly hung up.

Have received several messages from a gentleman with an Indian accent. He claimed to be from the IRS and that i was going to be arrested soon if i did not call him back instantly. He recommended that i seek legal representation and that my attorney should also contact them regarding my case and if i did not respond, well, he could only wish me the best of luck! At one point i did answer the call, at which time a woman with an Indian accent asked to speak with my daughter. I let her know that she was not available at this number and asked what business she had with her. The caller instantly hung up,

just got the same call claiming to be IRS, Indian accent, they have been calling like 3 times a day every day, I just ignore them, it's a good thing I have an answering machine, because if you call me and I don't know you I will not call you back, period.

I receive the call every day from a woman with an accent.  Says they are the IRS and say e will be arrested if we don't call back.

I am receiving regular calls from this number with threats about arrest and to respond immediately due to IRS problems.

Just scared the crap out of me telling that i would be arrested within 25-30 minutes bc a warrant out for my arrest etc due to tax investigation form 2007-2013.  Told me they had come to my door twice before and I was not home etc.  I never get scammed. it threw me off bc she never wanted personal info just a name of my criminal attorney (which obviously I didn't have..lol) I think at that pony she would try to get the to wire money etc

Also says her name is shirley Adams and give out badge number and case number etc

These are criminal extortionists operating in overseas boiler rooms using VOIP to alter their identities and locations and out of the reach of US law enforcement.

If someone calls saying he's an IRS agent and demands that you send money immediately, hang up.
It's a phone scam.In fact, it tops the IRS "Dirty Dozen" list of tax scams this year, and it's been surging in recent months, the agency said Thursday.

The Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA), which oversees the IRS, has received reports of 290,000 scam calls since October 2013 and said nearly 3,000 victims have been swindled out of $14 million so far.

By altering their caller ID number to make it look like they're calling from an IRS office, these scammers often threaten vulnerable people like the elderly and new immigrants with things like arrest, deportation or the loss of their driver's license if they don't pay immediately for money purportedly owed.

Often leaving messages that say it's "urgent" you call them back, the scammers use common names and sometimes say they are from the IRS Criminal Division. They may even claim to know the last four digits of your Social Security number and send follow-up emails that appear to be from the IRS, TIGTA said.

They often demand that payments be made by prepaid debit card.

Once they make their threats, the scammers have been known to call back and again disguise their caller ID so it appears they are calling from the police department or the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).

Or sometimes when they call, they may say you have a refund due and ask you to provide personal information so you can claim it.

The real IRS will usually contact you by regular mail first, if it needs to contact you at all. And the agency never demands immediate payment by phone or asks for credit card or debit numbers if they do call. It also never asks for personal or financial information by email, text or social media.

Thank you. I will report it. I am confused why they didn't ask for money just to verify my address. it was over a 10 minute call. That is why it seemed legit. just saying wanted my criminal attorneys number and going me her info and telling me my recording would be used in court etc

Same call twice today. First one on my machine, looked at this board and at the same time received a second call with a woman asking my name. She must not have liked my tone and quickly hung up. PLEASE call me back, I ain't done with you! Lol!

B.S. call about a criminal case against me by the IRS
