I am being called by this #. Who is it?

This is the Illinois Police Association (IPA) or I should say a very agressive telemarketing company hired by the IPA called Xentel - the customer service supervisor I spoke to said they were from Florida/Calgary/Wisconsin (???).   If you call 773 - 295 - 1981 and listen to the recording they give you an number to call 'for more information' - (800) 288-2020.  On that line, if you choose option 2 you get a 'supervisor' who can listen to the call you just had (they record these telemarketing calls without telling us our call may be monitored or recorded?) and that a different department's customer service team will call you back with the resolution to your complaint.  I had complained because I repeatedly told the telemarketer that we did not want to donate and that I had told the IPA rep who called last night the same thing.  He kept saying that he didn't know who I spoke to last night and that he would only accept a No from the person who originally donated last year.  I told him that person's not home and has instructed me to give IPA this message.  I told him that my family member had decided to donate to another group this year, and the telemarketer said 'there is no other group'  I said 'another charity, and he said 'we're not a charity we're the IPA and I want to speak to (family member's name)'.

Oops the Xentel / IPA customer service number is 800 317 - 0667, the number I listed up in my original message is my phone company's customer service number.

Calls repeatedly several times a day.  No message left.  Please stop calling - this is a business number.

Continous calling from this number. Telemarketers. Illinois Police Association...or some such ilk. VERY annoying....they call our office number.

Person keeps calling asking for someone who works here. I've always told caller that this person was on the other line, could I take a message? He said thats ok I'll try back. I said this is a business and they aren't allowed personal phone calls, he said this is NOT a personal call, but a "police matter." After looking on here and seeing they are IPA, I laugh. I've dealt w/ them before. They are extremely rude and use ANY tactic to get a buck. A guy who works here has a son who is a police officer and even HE says it's B.S.!!!! I don't know how or why Illinois lets them do this. This TELEMARKETER only donates a measly 10 percent to local authorities, and that's probably just so they can say "police". Whatever.....

they call every night-every day-when I pick up-no response-so I now keep letting it go into my fax machine...and they just called for the 3rd night in a row again-always about 6pm CST

I got a call from this number today. I also receive calls from 630-427-4747 daily and repeatedly. I never answer because I don't want to. They're really annoying. If the IL State Police Whatever fund needed $ they should go about it another way. Plus... what do they need money for? GRRR

Different persons have been calling & asking for my spouse, they claimed to be Paternal Support Lodge Troop 41. He's never home, and he doesn't speak english, so when I tell them this, they just thank you and then they still keep calling.  I want them to stop caling my house..Can someone help me?

Daily calls from this #. They never leave a msg. We're also on Do Not Call registry, will be reporting them.

Call often and leave no message.  Answered phone call once and a telemarketer for the local policemen asking for donations.  Report to donotcall list.  Telemarketer.

Harrassing Calls From 773-295-1981 . Get on the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY.look it up on Google . Start reporting these callers . Also send an email to Lisa Madigan attourney general with the phone number. If she gets hundreds of complaints they will react . If you are on the do not call registry they are breaking the law....

Oh no! This fundraiser better not be some scam saying they are from the FOP State Troopers! I'm a sucker and donated! Please do not be a scam or I will never donate again to any organization in my life!

Usually don't answer call I don't recognize but was expecting a call and this came up local 773-295-1981 so I was thinking it was the call I was waiting for. It was one of the dirtbags who asked for Brad Beasley. I stated he had a wrong number. I then asked who he was and he said Xentel. I then questioned why they kept calling me and he asked if Brad Beasley lived there. I said no and he asked for my name which I didn't give him. I was billed illegally a year ago for a charity I've never heard of on an old phone number that I changed over 3 1/2 years ago. And they claimed I agreed to the bill or someone at my home did. No one else lives here but me. Now this guy form Xentel gets wise and I start asking questions and ask why theu keep calling my home when I'm on the do not call list. He got smart. I called them a few choice words an what I thought of illegal telemarketing of which he replied I need counseling and hung up..
I filed again as I have dozens of times with the FTC but it seems our so called government programs are nothing more than a place to give some political supporter a taxpayer funded check. How nice it would be if they actually started hammering these people and putting their tails in prison. I did see where Iowa AG and Colorado went after these dirtbags. Illinois is full of corruption so I wouldn't expect much out of them.

When I get these dirt bag calls, I write down the number(s) and then use them for anything that ask for a telephone number (giveaways, free info, adult sites, etc. you get the idea). Use them on any type of service that will publish and share this info and they will now be on a call list and getting the same type of calls they are making.

Great idea!  I will do that.  Also, the first question I ask is "Are you a police officer?"  They apparently have to tell the truth that they are not.  That's when I tell them no and hang up.

I normally don't answer the phone if I can't recognize the number, but this 773 - 295-1981 calls twice a day. It's very annoying, but I like the idea of Revenge. I think I'm gonna do the same thing. I will give away this number and presto!.

Want to have some fun? I told them I would be happy to donate to the police association as soon as they start doing their job , arresting and deporting illegal aliens. The telemarketer was dumbfounded, which made him vulnerable to my lengthy lecture about illegals ruining the nation. After a few minutes, he rudely hung up. They have not called again.

You are breaking the law by calling "no call" numbers and not advising that calls are being recorded!
