Phone rang 6 times. went into voice mail and caller hung up. Telemarketer probably. Would not leave a massage.

Got a call from this number on my cell phone (Chicago, IL) at exactly 5:00 pm ET.
I do not answer and they did not leave message.
I could not find any reports on it so I called back, since I have clients in Chicago.
Bogus number - doesn't go through - so it's now blocked.

Figured I would share with 800Notes since that is my go-to source for validating phone scammers.

Called me twice today while I was at work. Once at 2:50 pm and again at 4:21 pm. No message, and it was busy when I called back.

Got a call no message so I looked it up here. Another scammer.

They called about reducing my credit card interest rate to 6%. I asked which bank they represented and they ended up hanging up.

WARNING--BEWARE!! These callers are   B I G   credit card criminals, known as the card service scammers! Under NO circumstances, give these lowlifes your credit card number, or you will regret it forever!

I received a phone call from 773-378-5003 with an automated message saying that I qualified to lower my APR on my credit card to 6%. The message intructed to press nine to continue. I thought it sounded strange, so I pressed nine to see what they had to say. A representative came on. He claimed to be from Visa and MasterCard. He had an American accent. He spoke quickly and abrasively. He told me that I qualified to lower my APR. I asked him from which bank he was calling from and he said that he worked for Visa and MasterCard. Obviously that is not a bank, but wanting to know the scam I spoke a little further with him. I told him my credit card company told me that I did not qualify to lower my APR and he said that was because I did not have good credit at the time. I happen to know that my credit is in the 700s so obviously I don't have bad credit. At that point I let him know that my credit was excellent and that I would call the company directly. He became upset and told me I was wasting his time and he disconnected the call.

They offered me a credit card interest rate of 6% as well. they really wouldn't tell they name of the company just called themselves Financial Services of Master Card/Visa I asked is that the name of your company because you don't mind if i check you out on the web to see if you are legitimate.  They hung up on me TELLS ME THEY ARE A SCAM!!@!!@@

Answered this call when they called before 7 am AZ time on Saturday (I have friends and a home in IL - so I answered out of concern - who else would call me that early!) - listened to the entire speech, and got transferred to a "Supervisor" before he told me the cost to reduce my interest rate was $596.  I did not give him any of my info to get to this point, I played the game out of curiosity.  When I told him that charging me to reduce my rate was a scam he hung up on me.

They called me again this morning and once again I answered (why not - lets have more fun!).  When the woman asked me if I'd like to lower my interest rate I asked her how much the charge was to do so today - she promptly hung up on me.  I tried to call back to get on their do not call list, but the number does not accept incoming calls - so I've simply blocked them on my phone.

Just received a call from this number. Glad I didn't answer!

Never pick up any number I do not recognize .. always check  here first and VERY HAPPY after reading above, not to have done so!!

Every time I get a call about "lowering my credit card interest rates" I ask them for the company name and website.  Without fail, they always hang up.

Called yesterday and again today. I didn't answer, and now I'm glad.

Just received a call on my ccellphone.  I routinely never answer a call I don't recognize and always come here to check unknownn numbers.  It's amazing, about 95% of the unknown calls I get are scams and I find that out here.  I'll block this number as well.

Called me just now, left no message.

I called the phone # with this repsonse - Your call cannot be completed as dialed, please check the number and call again.

Must be a Nicole day. So did I.
