- Just My Luck| 4 repliesThey (Careerbuilder) just called my forwarded office number at 9:06am ET and didn't leave a message. They're trying to sell job placement services to employers. I've spoken to them before and explained that I'm a work-from-home employee and there is no HR department. Unfortunately, I'm jet-lagged on the west coast with a big job interview myself this morning and it was 6:06am for me! [***]. I really could've used a little more sleep!
p.s. Their job search services suck. Their job listings are mostly pulled from classified newspaper ads and bulletin boards. Big deal.- Caller: Careerbuilder

- Ofc MgrI am an office manager at a small firm and they call me pretty much every day. I now do not pick up the phone when they call and they never leave a message beyond the first one. The caller was pretty demanding and when I told him we weren't interested and I was going to report him to the BBB, he hung up. But still calls every day and sometimes multiple times a day.

- MichelleWe get calls on our front office voicemail constantly from 773-527-3600. No one ever speaks, just breathing, chewing food, papers shuffling. I looked up the number on the web and found out it was from Career Builder. It's their main number. I called them and explained what was going on. The operator took our numbers and said she would give them to the IT dept. Let's see if the calls stop!

- JoeThis guy Brian Ship-balls keeps calling me and asking to speak to the "person in charge of hiring". I repeatedly tell him that this is not a business but actually a house. He then hangs up and the next day he will call again like clockwork. PLEASE MAKE IT STOP!!!
- botheredwhat is their deal? what do they want?

- Satisfied customer| 4 repliesAt first I was annoyed by their calls, but then one day I listened to them and they actually have a great product. I use it every time I have an opening.

- annoyedthey call and they hang up on me every time i answer the phone. the weird thing is that we actually use career builder to post our jobs. i would never use any other services from them though, just because of the annoying phone calls.

- someguyThis one guy calls and just says "hey" and "yo" on my voicemail for about 15 minutes. On the other hand, I found my job at CareerBuilder, which is ironic. Also, I heard those guys are good at launching penguins.
- M Tavern Group replies to annoyed| 1 replyThat may be, but I have used them before as well. I'm surprised people don't know what it is, they have commercials all the time. It is legit...unless I've been hiring people for the past year from a fake company with fake commercials and fake resumes and other fake companies advertising with them. But they do call me a lot too..
- I used to work there| 3 repliesThey do call every day. Employees at Careerbuilder are given a small an very limited amount of leads to call and expected to make about 150 calls a day. All calls are counted as well as the talk time each sales rep has for the day. Most people get calls from this number every day because the reps hate their lives and have to call people every single day OVER and OVER just to reach a certian benchmark. Usually they will stop calling if you tell them that they are harassing you and that you are getting a lawyer involved.
Hopefully this will help!- Caller: Careerbuilder

I have even got emails from above - markI worked there. I would dial 125 times a day usually calling a company once a week. The job was horrible. The company is almost a billion dollar company though. They advertise on the superbowl.

- ramI have been getting calls from this number, they want to talk to accountant and I am telling EVERY time, this is not business number... what should I do.. please help.
- JohnIf you are a business, you are supposed to be cold called. It's the nature of business to business sales, right? If you're not a business, they probably just have the wrong info. I worked there for about a year, if i called a number and it was a residence and not a business, i would move on. If you havent' heard of careerbuilder and you work, you're living under a rock.
