craigs list auto scam w/ me too.

He offers 900$ more than ask price (red flag) to cover shipping. You then get an email which is doctored to look like its from paypal, (click respond and notice its note from paypal.com).  A careful reading of the email is laughable. It ensures you you have nothing to worry about and its all 'legit'

Ultimately, he wants you to moneygram the extra money to his 'shipping agent'

Got a text from this loser about my car for sale on CL.  You can always spot the scammers since their use of English is so poor.

Same situation as above, txt from this number to buy the car through paypal, asked for 900 extra to cover shipping.  It's a Scam.

this person just tried the same thing with me this morning. would be nice if the authorities would start tracking these types of people and put them where they belong.

That is a myth that the Government doesn't track them. The US Government knows exactly where they are. In Asia, Europe & Africa. Now? What exactly do you want them to do about it? See how much cash is in the kitty so we know how many more wars we can start. Say! Did you know that for around $50 bucks (cheaper for a cell phone) you can buy a call blocking device? texting in progress and noticed my caller id app shows him a craigslist scammer so i did search for his #. he wants it shipped to michigan but caller id says he's in chigago. just told him it must transfer to my bank before i release the car. he is silent so for! i hate scammers
he has not replied so i guess he gets the message

This number contacted me from Craiglist apparently "interested" in buying my car. I live in Houston and they "live in Michigan" yet that's a Chicago number. The offer was $6,500 but he said he'd pay $7,500, then an email saying I have to pay $900 through Money Gram to a post office "from Paypal". That set it off, knew it was fake and I told him/her off and they never responded back.
