It is usually the School you graduated from calling for donations. I used to answer - knowing it was the school - and that was what it was. I gave the first year. And now I can't.

Another confirmation that it's U of C. Class of '09 here. My friends who also graduated '09 have been getting calls from U of C too asking for money...

I just got one as well. How annoying.

I also got a call from them today, and numerous others in the past. Several years ago I gave them a token $10 contribution. If I had a lot of $, I'd give them again. I really can't fault them as who else would be more likely to give a contribution, and it's not as it were some profit making organization. Caller ID says it's Illinois, not knowing anyone in IL I simply don't pick up the phone.

I do currently live in Chicago but I never attended the University of Chicago, though I did apply for a possible transfer. Maybe that's why I made it onto the list.
