International caller with spoof Chicago #. Tries to extort money from you, claiming they are taking criminal action against you. The only criminal is this scammer. Block.

These people called me and said I have a lawsuit against me fromt he IRS. It is totally frauduleny and I called him on it. They hung up.

Have gotten these calls before from other numbers. They are recorded messages from someone international with accent.  The message is there is a lawsuit against me from the IRS and its an obvious scam.  Hope no old folks get involved.  VoIP phones can be used anywhere there is an internet connection and they can show a US number.

Received a call from 773-786-9353.  First call went to VM and they said they were from IRS and a lawsuit was filed against us.  We answered second call and it was a man with an Indian accent saying that he was from the IRS.  Hung up immediately.

Female caller with an accent called three different times yesterday, telling us we were going to
be arrested by federal marshals this was time sensitive so we had to call back immediately or have
our criminal lawyer call the number.

Bogus! Threatened to have me arrested, Called 5 times just today. LOSERS

The rookie crooks! That female dog scarred my elderly aunt by mentioning IRS and lawsuit. After I explained my auntie what is going on - they called again and when she said - send me legal documents - they hang up! Then I called the number and that female crook with the strong accent answered "IRS". I asked where she is located - "Washington DC". (Actually this phone is located in Chicago, IL)
I asked her why she is harassing people - she told me that it is not her - it is the other people who harassing her!:-)

Being arrested for tax fraud

Received a call from this number claiming to be in trouble with the IRS for not paying taxes. Called back, man with an accent was lying to me about being part of the IRS. He said his name was Jones, when  I started to press him about it his voice got noticeably nervous and he hung up on me. The real IRS won't hang up on you and they usually only contact people by mail. TOTAL SCAM! DON'T BOTHER!

Note that the IRS will never: 1) call to demand immediate payment, nor will the agency call about taxes owed without first having mailed you a bill; 2) demand that you pay taxes without giving you the opportunity to question or appeal the amount they say you owe; 3) require you to use a specific payment method for your taxes, such as a prepaid debit card; 4) ask for credit or debit card numbers over the phone; or 5) threaten to bring in local police or other law-enforcement groups to have you arrested for not paying.

Same-o -  supposedly I was turned in for tax evasion and fraud - I stopped the guy and said I had to legally tell him that the phone call was being recorded - Didn't phase him in the least - Kept right on talking , so I hung up on him . The least they could do is find someone with less of an accent if they're gonna try this -It's hard to scam someone if you can barely understand them .

A woman with a foreign accent told me that I am being sued for tax fraud, need an attorney and will have to settle immediately.  I told her to get a real job and asked how she could look herself in the mirror each day.

Same as above. We're going to be arrested for tax evasion if we don't consult our retained criminal attorney and call now now now. 3 calls today. What is this crap???

Got a call from this number on 9/3/15. I did not answer & no message left. Appreciate reading it is a spam-type call...I shall block it.

Caller want me to call them,773-786-5393 before I would be arrest.

Had the same identical call two times, she said I had tax evasion and tax fraud.  We have had this type calls before and when I asked an IRS person, he said the IRS doesn"t work that way.   She talked very foreign.  To bad the government can't do anything about it.  These people should be shut down and arrested..  Some people could get scared and do things they shouldn't.

These people are not in the United States so they are not able to be prosecuted by US law no matter how many times you complain.  They are able to gain US phone numbers even though they are not in the country and change them daily to avoid detection.  Since they keep changing their phone number which prevents you from blocking them via your phone company you can just change your phone number, make sure to leave it unlisted, and obviously don't give them any money. You can tell them you work for the IRS, police dept, ect...and that will probably make sure they mark you off their future call list. They hang up and block ME from calling THEM when I get these kinds of calls and I tell them I am law enforcement.

have gotten 2 calls today from this number. I just feel bad that some people will actually send them money. I wish we could find out who they are and do something about them bugging us.
