- Nicole| 1 replySaid I was a complaint and I had 30 minutes to set up a payment plan or pay in full they also refused to send me documentation verifying the debt
- Elspeth replies to NicoleTotal scam. Refusal to mail documentation showing you owe them money means you should not pay them - per federal debt collection laws. Please do report them to your state's Attorney General - www.naag.org - you can find your state AG at this link.
- rcna| 2 repliesReceived message stating a Paul Myers at Pre Trial Processing would pursue me at my work and home. Had 2 applications against me and need me to call back at 1 815 768 4775 with a case number of 7173. I'm not calling anyone. Been already scammed out of over $1900 in past. I have not received any mail from pre trial processing dept for any corporation. Thank you.
- Caller: pre trial processinf
- Call type: Debt collector
- Shelly replies to rcnaGot the same exact call said I had 48 hours to get back with Mr. Terry Green at 815-768-4775. The funny thing is they start calling within 2 to 3 days of your next payday.
- rcna| 1 replyReceived message that if I wanted to settle out of court I was to call a Ricky Willis at this firm from pre trial processing and that papers for wage garnishment would be sent to employment and home. Same 1 815 number as before was gave for call back. I looked up number. The 773 and 815 index is from Chicago IL area. Sending them nothing nor am I planning on call bk. Sounds I they collecting on old payday loan from internet source that has already been settled.
- Caller: Pre porocessing dept from unknown Chicago Il firm.
- Call type: Debt collector
- Mike-in-MD replies to rcnaClearly a scam or at the least an illegal collection attempt. Wage garnishment can only happen after both a court judgement against you and a later court order for garnishment. You can report them to both the FTC, your State Attorney General and the State AG where they are located.
- ashley| 1 replyThis number has been threatening me
- Caller: 17738880725
- Call type: Debt collector
- CristinaI got the same the call but from a woman who was stupidly rude and threatening. Because i knew her game she ended up hanging up on me. She said she was from the fraud division and then I said what company and she said GTI, which I cannot find anywhere online. I am so tired of these people. For the past 2 yrs I have been being harrassed by these [***] over a mistake i made years ago of getting a payday loan which I paid off! They bother me at work, home and call my relatives. I have learned to ignore unknown numbers but it is ridiculous.
- Caller: GTI
- Call type: Debt collector
- MargI would say block them - but they call with different numbers. Some are local and others are not. The caller ID provides a local number so that I will pick up. When I do pick it up and its them, I just hang up. All over a $300.00 payday loan I do not remember taking out.

- CWG40 replies to rcnaJust because a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt does not mean you owe it
If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:
1. Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
2. Demand a debt validation letter by US mail. E-mail no good.
3. Do not pay the collection agent or anyone else a DIME until the debt is validated.
Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply block their calls and ignore them.
If they are bothering you,
Report them:
http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection
Also contact your local attorney general
If they continue to bother you, tell them that you know this is a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion. Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved. Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now. If you can find them. - CWG40 replies to ashleyReport them:

If they continue to bother you, and you know you don't owe any money, tell them that you know this is a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion. Yell at them and talk over them. Don't let them push you around.
