They called a couple of times. No message was left.

I do not answer calls from numbers I do not know. The caller ID showed as Reno NV plus the phone number. They left no message on my machine. I blocked my number and called them back to see what would happen. I get a message that says that I need to dial a 1 or a 0 before that number.
No clue what it's about but I will be adding it to my block list.

I've gotten two calls, no messages. I am guessing that this is a spoofed number. The NV 775-476 exchange is a land-line exchange in Sutcliffe, NV on the shores of delightful Pyramid Lake (NE of Reno; thanks, Google Maps!). This is -- if I remember correctly -- on Paiute Indian Reservation lands, although I doubt it's a Paiute boiler room. Rather, I think that 476 is an under-utilized exchange with a lot of free numbers in its block... numbers spoofed by evil scammers. They're blocked now. Had they but left a message, I might have called them back and said yes! Now, however, I'll never hear their offer. At least not from this number.

got a call from this number a few days in a row now. No message and says its coming from Reno, NV.

Called 4x today. I picked up 4th call. Telemarketing recorded message about Time-Shares.

This phone number has been calling me for the last three days. They never leave a message.

Thank GOD I didn't answer!  ANYTHING could have happened!  My goldfish could have caught fire, my dog raped, my computer files deleted, my credit cards cut up, holes in my socks, ANYTHING!  On the other hand, one is only a victim if they go out of their way to allow themselves to be, so who cares that a phone rings...?

No it's not long distance to me, it's in the same area code so I shouldn't have to dial a 1 or a 0 before the actual number.

This number is calling constantly (like every 5 minutes)!

For several days they have been calling me multiple times per day, all day long, on both of my lines, one of which is my cell. Unfortunately, I can only block the number on my cell.
Since I don't generally answer to unfamiliar numbers, I googled it and found all of you... It is annoying when your phone rings all day long, especially being it's a telemarketer or would be thief. Watch out for the cons: bogus FBI, Dept Treasury, Power Company.

"Please listen to a recorded message concerning your timeshare properties . . . "  That's when I hung up.  I live near Reno, so and I am working with several contractors to remodel my home, so I thought it might be one of them.  That's the only reason I answered.  The number is now on my blocked list.

Definitely a spoofed number by crooks.  Government needs to stop all robo calls -- including those from legitimate businesses and political groups.  Thanks, Lloyd, for the timeshare scam information when you answered phone due to work being done on your house.  Remind the elderly and impaired do not pick up the phone, do not talk with them, do not call them back.  Billions stolen the last few years and Reno area big "hit" for these crooks too.  TV is great at talking about the scam phone calls, just need to be very specific with elderly and impaired because they do not "get it" or they "forget" -- get them an answering machine if they do not have one.  Tell them if no one leaves a message, then it is not important and probably a crook.  Keep them safe!   Have had at least six calls this week when I was home.  No telling how many when not home.

Thanks for bring up the elderly aspect, every day I hear of the eledery getting ripped off... I'm an elerdy, almost! I hope someone will be looking out for me...
