Somehow my phone has called this number 2 or 3 times a day for the past month. They are always 1 minute calls. Does anyone know who this is? I tried calling this person and it went straight to voicemail.

This number is also showing up on my phone bill.  It has been since October of 2007.  There are over 300 instances since October.  The times recorded have ranged from 1 to 3 minutes; however, this month there was one for 7 minutes.  Does anyone know who this number belongs too?

We have received the same calls over the months. I called Verizon and was told it is a Verizon number, registered as a personal account. I had the number blocked free of charge.

    fed up
my boyfriend looked over his billing statement for the past several months and he accused me of having some sort of relationship with someone with this phone number. I have never even called the number.  So I looked the number up and saw that the number calls cell phones.  My boyfriend apologized and we will try to block the number.

I had several one minute calls with that number on my statement also. The number use to be the number that you call to check your voicemail/leave msg from a landline or another cell phone for Verizon phones in the Northern Nevada area. After you dialed the number, you just enter the verizon cell phone number that you were inquiring about and it would take you straight to the number's voicemail.

Can you say why you think this? The trail of posts here since October 2008 would certainly lead a person to think this. Whats with the voice mail being full and the numerous 1 to 3 minute calls that several mention. Wonder how/where she solicits business?

    Careful
It looks like this is actually a number that used to register on your verizon cell statement when calling your own cell voicemail. In my case while calling my voicemail when visiting in Fallon NV. The may 9th post from Anthony got me thinking about this when he mentioned the Northern NV area. Also the very first post where the writer states that somehow his or her phone was calling the number. I was initially suspicious of my husband too because it was showing up fairly frequently on his cell statement and when you dial it you her a greeting from a young woman. BUT when I saw the number on my own cell statment I knew there was some other explanantion. I certainly wasn't calling a hooker. Up until Jul 2009 this number appeared when calling VM and then it changed to showing 000-000-0086. I have not seen the number on either my husbands or my statment since Jul 2009. I think "hilarious" maybe gets an "F" on the homework she did. I wonder if she's just trying to stir up trouble for the young woman who has this number. Hardly "Hilarious". If this makes sense to anyone else please say so...I would hate for any spouse to be falsely accused of calling a hooker. Damaging stuff.
