Called here in Ottawa, no message. Who are they?

Just called here. No one on the line.

Recorded phone call about this survey about national debt crisis, receive a free cruise trip to the bahamas upon completion. Seems fishy.

Called at 1:18 PM on July 27th but did not leave a message.

I check my call display and never pick up unless I recognize the number.

Called at 4:07pm, I didn't pick up as I don't know anybody in British Columbia (the 778 area code) and they didn't leave a message.

Just got a call in Saskatoon.  No idea why.

how can I stop this

Just got a call from the above number and didn't answer based on the info provided by the users of this site. I recently purchased some new handsets(Panasonic) and promptly added the above number to the "Call Block" feature list. Thanks Guys.

This number called me at 1:00 am and then again at 3:00 am. When I answered, dead line each time. When someone calls me in the middle of the night, I assume it could be serious... Had to go to work in morning as a zombie with lack of sleep due to these calls...then the next night, they called again at 1 and at 3 am, this time a recorded message about a free cruise.  I am on-call for work, so need to answer my phone promptly when it rings... How do I stop these people from calling me in the middle of the night? I am on the DNC list.

DNC list is worth crap. If they're calling your cell phone and you have an Android, get Mr. Number - caller ID and call blocking. You can have it pick up and hang up on them and never bother you.

If you have a land line, certain types of phones have call blocking in the phone itself or you can ask your provider how to block them. Cellphone companys will block a certain number of calls, you can add the number to your block list via their site usually, or call them and ask them to do it for you.

Phoned at 7:30 tonight (B.C. time).  Said they were doing a Political Opinion Survey.  Name showed up as Unknown. I hung up on them.  I am also on the DNC registry but am getting these types of calls every night.

Everyone please file a complaint with the NDNC list. I file an average 2 per day. I also file complaints when the same telemarketer calls a seconds time. I think we should flood NDNC list with complaints.

Called us too. When we answered they hung up though. Called us a few times last night in Vancouver (Lower Mainland, BC)

I'm being bombarded daily by calls from this number.  I'm not answering as then they know it's a valid number and just keep calling.  Aaaaargh!!!!!!

They call repeatedly; no one on the line.

First time getting a call from this number - did not answer as they aren't worth my time.  Annoying that these calls keep on coming regardless of the DNC list!!

Just received a call from this number, and have received others beginning with 778-300----  There must be a way to report these call centre numbers to those who manage the DNC list.
