I work at a business and when I answered the phone they hung up.

they call multiple txs a week and never say a word.

they have INTRUDED in my life on a number of occasions, taking advantage of the service i pay for which provides ME with all said benefits (my phone).

My phone service (cell included) is kept in place for MY convenience, not anyone/everyone else's.

however, on one specific occasion, recently, the offending party must not have heard the voice mail prompt (???, as i speak rather ... it's hard to miss.

subsequently, my voicemail plays back a mildly confused woman, repeatedly asking into her end, 'hello ? hello ?

This phone number calls me on my work cellular at least once per day for at least two months now, and every time I answer, they hang up.  Today I answered the phone with just a hello this time, and after a long pause, someone asked for "Curtis" - I told them they had the wrong number, and then they hung up.
This is getting frustrating!

This is a collection agency looking for someone with the same last name as the number they are calling.
This number calls every day, and I never answered until today because I'm fed up with them.
I got a recording that said "This is about an urgent business matter, sorry for the delay", which repeated for 1 minute until they hung up.
So I called back and it sounded like CBV Collections, who are looking for Michelle with my same last name. They removed my number from their list since I don't know who Michelle is.
They obviously kept calling, because they think Michelle is here avoiding to pay her bills, and I don't answer thinking its telemarketing. Sometimes you got to talk to them to see what it really is about.

I came home to see the number on my call display. I tried to search it with a Telus reverse look up. This didn't work so I Googled it. Surprisingly it brought me to this Web site. This is my only experience so far. I want to say it is GREAT to have a Web Site like this to help combat this Stupidity.

I received a call at work from this number ,they made a funny noise then hung up.  If this is a collection agency they need to look at there employees they should not be calling and hanging up when a business answers, it very unprofessional, and annoying.

This number calls me a least once a day. It's so annoying. They never say anything when I answer the phone. Now when they call I just answer it and hang up right away. This is ridiculous! I wish there was a majical way we could just make them go away!

This number calls at least once a day, however, they seem to have gotten a hold of my fax number and have only called that number. For someone who works from home and needs my fax machine for work purposes, this is exceedingly annoying.

Clearly, I am not the only one who feels this way.

If you are with Shaw you can block anyone from calling. Just follow this.

Add Numbers to Selective Call Block List

Lift handset and wait for the dial tone.
Press *60  to enter the command options menu.
Press the 3 number to activate Selective Call Blocking.
Key in the # sign.
Enter the phone number to block (7 to 10 digit local numbers or 1+10 long distance numbers).
Press the # sign.

Seems to be a collection company they call my phone daily and ask for some guy.

I have had two calls from this number per day for the last month or so.  There has never been a message left as I am not home during the day when they call.  

I have called back the number and it just rings.  If it is a collection agency looking for someone shouldn't they be leaving a message?  

I just wish I could stop whoever it is from calling.  It is getting very annoying!

This number has countlessly called my place of resedence asking for somone who does not live here... rather annoying!

Call everyday and no one is there.

Tell them you only accept written correspondence - they must abide!!

I am furious with this number! I feel like I am being stalked by the company. They call me 3-4 times a week and when I answer either no one says anything and hangs up right away or I hear breathing and speaking in the background. It is enfuriating and was actually kind of frightening.

I actually just called them and if you wait to speak with someone then give them your number they will check to see who they are trying to get ahold of and if it is not you they take your number out of the system.

I receive calls from this number, when I answer the machine plays a message "please hold for an important buisness matter we will connect you as the first available operator" I wait and they hang up. now when I see this number, I don't answer it, my phone line provider has a feature, so now I have this number blocked.

hmm i got a call and on my voice mail they left them them song to halloween and at the end they breath in the phone then hang up.....creepy not scary lol
