It's a scum sucking robodialer with a fake survey msg to collect numbers to re sell. I have the not in service signal as my voice recording so it zaps my number out of robot dialers list. I also use a app on my phone which sends unknown number straight to voicemail- Caller: A Effin Scumbag

- Beware the Life Hackers replies to GTA residentThanks for posting info on this number. I just received a call from it as well. I didn't answer. I've come to detest phones in general because they have been made into marketing tools for uncouth sales agencies peddling vacations, window installation, duct cleaning, and investment advice. But the most disturbing are the 'life hackers' who ask for far more info than they have a justified reason to. These are identity thieves, collecting info on you, your in-laws, your whole life. Their covers vary. Some are posing as survey agencies, long-distance phone service providers and the latest was a Microsoft tech support service.
If you can believe it, the Microsoft poser called to tell help me correct a virus problem on my computer. He didn't have my registered product serial number or any idea of the software version or hardware I operate, but insisted that I turn on my computer and follow a few steps. If it was a legitimate service call, it could have applied to any of the 5 computers in the house. The Microsoft poser even had a supervisor call when I refused to cooperated and outright called the poser as scammer. I told the posing supervisor that he was a scammer too and cited the clues which were 1) inability to identify the computer involved; 2) the preposterous claim to be Microsoft making a personal tech support call; 3) calling from an UNKNOWN (hidden) number, 4) claiming to be 'John', 'Bill' or 'Robert' when their thick accent tells me their name is more likely 'Raj', 'Ramesh' or 'Jagdeep'.
What I suspect is that some of the call center agency employees in India, servicing all those duct cleaner and window installer companies, have decided to strike out on their own and use their new skills to collect personal info to use in the flourishing identity theft and immigration business. I suspect the paper marriage pathway out of India is finally being clamped down on by governments. Besides, why swindle just a few thousand, when you can get bank accounts, credit standings, property titles, driver's licenses, education and employment acumen for use in a brand new life abroad?
My in-laws have had their identities stolen TWICE. Be very, very cautious of survey telemarketers that try to collect personal and specific information from you. - i have had itWith these [***] companies who are calling cell numbers because they know if we register the cell numbers with the dncl more ppl will know the #.
- Didn't bother answeringNo message by the caller, but get this number a few times on my cell. Didn't bother answering this telephone scam.
Some of the comments mentioned Microsoft. I do deal with Microsoft, but only with issues that are active. They never keep calling unless the issue remains open! They're rated based on issues closed, so the sooner it's completed, the better their rating. Last dealt with them months ago, as they rushed to close.
From my years of personal experience with Microsoft, this is "not them!"- Call type: Telemarketer
- Ticked offThis number is always on my cell (pay as you go). Where are they getting the number from? Sure wish I could stop them.
- DeafWhen I get unknown # calls, I answer them and speak very clearly into the microphone " you are calling the phone of a deaf person, this phone is used for texting only. If you wish you may send me a text and I will reply" It works every time, the calls stop until some other asinine company finds my number.
