http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0078-advance-fee-loans - Maria replies to Lukisha williams| 1 replyThis company did the same thing to me. Took me for $200. Want to give me a $3000 loan. Put $200 on a Green Dot card. then they tell me they cannot make a deposit into my account. Wanted me to pay an Additional $132.00 for a western union. I refused and filed a police report.
The officer called me today and told me they are a well known scam. Had to call my telephone company to block their calls because they are still calling me. Loans
1. No reputable lender will lend you money over the phone.
2. No reputable lender will lend you money by e-mail
3. On-line lenders are nothing more than conduits for another loan scam.
4. Advance fees for loans are always illegal. At least in most American states.
5. If you want to borrow money, go to an established brick and mortar lender that has been around awhile.
6. If you receive a call from someone with an Indian accent either a. threatening you or b. offering you something, you know it’s a scam and you should hang up immediately.
7. These people are predators, the calls are not random, they have information that they have bought from various sources and know your financial history. If you have ever taken out a pay-day loan, they have all your information. They know who they are calling. They like to pick on women, single mothers, the elderly and members of the immigrant community. Also, those who might be in financial difficulty.

8. Report them here: http://www.stopfraud.gov/report.html - JenniferI received an email from a gentleman by the name of Shawn. Smith. He sent me an offer of a $3,000 loan for 18 months and $200 a month. What is the real deal? These people never quite. They call all day under various numbers and will go to the extent to use the area code in which you reside in hopes that I will answer the phone. I have learned to ignore these scammers and not answer their email, phone calls or address their threats.
These same people will send a email telling you that you qualify for a loan and then when you do not respond, they then threaten you with legal action. Unreal and totally fake. Do not use sleep over this mess, do not answer their phone calls nor address their emails.
Their whole objective is to wear you down mentally by calling on a daily in hopes that you get tired of the phone calls. If you can , just record the numbers and keep them on file for your own personal interest. Tell your co-workers to tell outsiders that you no longer are employed at your place of employment and that they are not allowed to give out any further information.- Caller: Shwan. Smith
- Anne WilsonI didn't receive a call but I have been getting emails. The first time they tried it they called themselves GE Money Financing. Email from Sam Willson- swillson787@gmail.com - but the form was signed by David G-something at 818-745-7905. I had applied for loans so I called and a pushy Indian-sounding man answered. It was very hard to hear cuz there are probably 50 people in a room somewhere answering phones for fake companies like this. He started his spiel and I interrupted him and asked for a paper application be sent because I don't do business like this over the phone. He kept on talking and went on to say how easy and fast my loan would be and started asking personal info -- like my checking account numbers "so they know where to deposit the money" - yeah right, I was born in the afternoon, but not that afternoon!!! I quickly hung up. (The real GE loan company is called GE Moneybank or something else depending on what type of loan you have. They are real - I financed a car from them a few years ago.) Now the scammers are calling themselves USA Finance but using the same fake forms with just the names changed. Email from Daniel Martin -usafinance58@gmail.com- but signed by Shawn Smith at 779-552-5155. It also lists a totally fake looking website - all their articles and blogs show that posted all on the same few days - www.usafinancer.com but they called themselves something else on the page. "Like us on Facebook - 22 people like this company" ... and they are all fake names or Indians/ Pakistanis. I know that there are poor people out there, but what ring of Hell are you putting yourself in when you get your living by stealing.
