Alberta Health Services, Receivables on an outstanding invoice...

I was robbed and had a large laceration on my face and a fractured nose. I had no heath insurance to cover the cost of an ambulance so I walked three kilometers to the Rockyview Hospital. Upon arriving (3 am) they sat me down in the lobby put a cervical collar on me and said "there was nobody in at that time who could treat my injuries so they had to put me in an ambulance and send me to the Foothills". Three weeks later I got a $500 bill for the ride. I should have just taken a cab to Foothills in the first place as it was not like they had the siren on or were blowing through traffic lights. Alberta Health Services Finances Accounts Receivable can suck it. I'm not paying that invoice.
